Derek, Derek and Derek!!

Simon wants to be reunited with his father again which is understandable, so Him and Chloe seem a bit weak. Where as Derek is strong minded and scary shows his wolf side towards people but when he's with Chloe he show his human side to her!

Then again her heart did pound when simon touch the back of her hand!

I can be rare... and I am thinking that I am, but I prefer Simon.

Oh.. well yeah i guess everyone has different opinions.. i was team simon in the first book but the difference is that you know in most cases where there are teams i tend to not like the other person that much but I loved simon as well because well he was awesome but Derek is the better person for chloe.. :P

I'm Team Derek all the way who cares about his face he just has acne and btw in the third book his face is starting to clear i bet you his actually attractive. I'm happy Derek and Chloe ended up together + he can protect her not like Simon who can only push people with his spells.

Simon is very nice, and I love him too, but it's more of what Chloe wants... Derek was more mysterious, shut off... Simon made his interests very clear. I think Chloe knew that Derek was sort of insecure and fragile on the inside, though he'd never let it show, as opposed to Simon, who was very open. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Derek is weak or Simon mushy, but...

I sooooooooo agree!!! Instead of the heroine going for the pretty boy... one of the best things about the book!

I was confused when I read the book. I didn't even know there was supposed to be a love interest. I kinda wanted her to be with Derek, but he's ugly, so it seemed unappealing to me. And then at the end where him and Simon didn't come back for her and Rae, everything good I somewhat thought of him just disappeared.

I read the first book and Chloe's aunt considered him unattractive. It wasn't said in the book but it was one of those unspoken knowledge kind of things. Even though Simon flirted with her, I just can't picture them as a couple. There was definitly more chemistry between Chloe and Derek. Like I said, everything was fine to me until the part where they escaped and Derek didn't come back for her. But I guess I'll just have to finish the series to find out the rest.

Derek Simon wasn't enough of a character
