Welcome Krystol.
So many good questions. First of all there is no requirement to read any particular book.
The group read "technically" runs from the 15th of the month to the 15th of the next month, so we are nominating for the June 15 - July 15 books. Actually, the group read discussion threads never close. They just move down the list so you can go to the Group Read folder click on the folder and see all the discussion threads for past books. If one is a favorite of yours, or you just read it, go ahead and comment. Someone else is probably still reading it too.
Regarding posting your review. Anytime after the 15th of the month. Whoever nominated the winning book is the discussion leader and once the thread is open they usually introduce themselves and maybe make a comment about the book. Discussion follows at the pace of the leader and readers.
As for Spoilers, there is a nifty feature where you can hide the spoiler part by using the html code. (view spoiler) are hidden. Still the first week is usually general comments while people get going on the book.
Hope this helps.

Hi Krystol, welcome to the group. It's great that you are jumping right into things!

As some of the Boomer-era members of the group will remember, Thomas Gifford wrote many popular best-sellers in the 1970s, 1980's and even the 1990's. He died more than a decade ago. He was one of my favorites. Among still known titles by Gifford were "The Wind Chill Factor," "The Assassini," and "The Glendower Legacy."
Until now, I believed as a former admirer of Gifford's work that I had read the entire body of work published under his own name-- about eight or nine books, as I recall, which appeared somewhat sporadically over the decades until his death.
Yesterday, on Amazon, I discovered several titles under Gifford's name that I had never heard of-- in German! The covers verified that the author was indeed the creator of the works that were once popular in America.
Do any former Gifford fans know what that's all about? Did he publish books in German that are now finding their way over here? Curious and want to know if anybody has any color. Cheers and Thanks, Mark
Hi Mark, why don't you open a new thread with the question in the header, "Thomas Gifford Question", or something similar. People will be able to see it more easily.

Forgive me, Marilyn. I just saw this now, two months later!
You can look in the Techno Corner Folder for information about linking and lots of other things.

Anyway, I am thrilled to find this group that fits my reading genre's perfectly and I look forward to each month's picks!
