Thank you for the kind welcome! I love books, and I love working at the library and finding so many I'd never discover on my own.

Renee (motherdaughterbookreviews) | 14 comments Hi Everybody,

I'm Renee and I blog over at Mother Daughter Book Reviews with my 2 kids Danielle (9) and Dominic (6). Turns out Mom and the kids don't always agree on books. Hmmm...shocking... I know! I'm thrilled to be part of this group and I look forward to getting and sharing some great MG book recommendations. :)

Steps hesitantly over threshold... sidles along the wall. Realises nobody has thrown her out yet. Decides to say something...

Hello everyone! I'm Jemima and I came here because I started doing the Kid Lit Blog Hop! I'm not sure whether I write books suitable for Middle Grades but I think they are, and I know friends read the early versions to their 6-12 year olds, so fingers crossed. I also review the books I've read, many of which are MG or at least not unsuitable.

Looking forward to meeting lots of people here :)

Hi Kirstin glad to have you as part of the group.
You may want to check out our GMGR Listopia list for some great MG books and maybe even have a vote or two. There is a topic about the list which has a handy link.
Cheers

Well, I've just finished Flea's First Christmas - The North Pole Challenge (no 1 in Fleas Five Christmases) by Kevin George. It was a delightful non-schmalzy mystery with added elf-appeal. Highly recommended! The review is on my blog tomorrow and on Goodreads today!

Julie Hello, again,
I joined this group when it first started, and just went to post something and it stated I was not a member...hmmm does this group have activity requirement ?

Anyhoo, I'm back , I am an avid reader, and my 10 yr old daughter is finally discovering the joy of reading, and that it's not just for homework :)

I welcome recommendations for her, and who are we kidding..myself also :)

Hey Julie ... Welcome back. I'm not sure where or why you went.
There is no activity requirement. Members are free to comment as little or as much as they wish. I bet you have heaps of catching up to do with all of the topics.
It's great to have back. 3 cheers for Julie everyone.

J L's Bibliomania (jlsbibliomania) Welcome Julie! For recommendations for your daughter, check out the Great Middle Grade Reads group here on Goodreads. I'm also discovering a wealth of book bloggers out there that are filling my TBR shelf with more things than my sons and I can read.

Lea Ann (buntingla) Hi all! I'm Lea Ann and I'm a sixth-grade teacher. I actually teach four 5th/6th social studies classes and one 6th grade reading class. I've been on Goodreads for a year now, but have been stuck in groups that weren't quite the right fit. Happy to have found one for the middle grades. I love talking about books and getting new insights and ideas.

Natalie Bahm (nataliebahm) | 9 comments Hi, everyone!

I'm a mom of four kids. My eight-year-old is a voracious reader and I'm always looking for something new and exciting to keep her up all night. :) She's my oldest, which means I'll have a middle grade reader in my house for the next ten years. (yikes!)

I'm also a middle grade writer so I'm always reading MG too. My first book, a backyard adventure called THE SECRET UNDERGROUND, came out in September.

I'm excited to be a part of the group!

message 331: by Diane (new)

Diane Hi, my name is Diane and I live in the Atlanta area. I am Mom to 2 middle-grade aged kids (4th & 6th graders). I am always concerned about the content of what they read and what to know as much as possible about the books they read. I am also interested in books that will continue to keep their spark of interest in reading.

One of my children has always been an advanced reader and we have always run into content issues with the level of books equivalent to her reading level. I would like to find out more about books she is interested in without having to read them myself before she does.

Hi everyone. It's great to be here. It's so difficult to find groups/outlets for this genre. I have written a bit more of a children's/beginning chapter book than MG, but am a HUGE MG book lover. I look forward to connecting with as many of you as possible.
