strange books on my author page

For one book worldcat gives that the author name should be César, but when I try to change that book it returns to Cesar.

hmmm
I haven't a clue how to do it though!!!

Supers can't disambiguate single-name authors any more than anyone else. It's a limitation of the database.

As for the Zona Negra 2 book, it seems to have disappeared from the page now so somebody else must have found a way to correct it.

Actually, if I'm translating this correctly, he designed the cover. So I went ahead and removed him from the book.

Ah, that's why it disappeared. :o)

Cool. All I was finding was bookseller pages that kept listing him with all the other authors. And since my French is basically non-existent, I was stuck leaving him there.
I don't speak French. But Google Translate does. ;) And "designer" almost certainly means cover designer.

Actually, I don't have that power; "regular" librarians can't edit GR author profiles. You'll need a Super to do it; hopefully one of them will come along soon enough to get that for you*. Apologies for not realizing you couldn't edit that field!
*If no one gets it in a day or so, you might want to create a new thread requesting the edit.

Two of the copies that are listed at this site list the author's name as Aurelia Vrandecic-Dwyer.

I'm afraid not: on comic books "dessin" means the illustrator, so he should be listed. This book, yes?

Thanks! Does this mean that a librarian in this group could then remove that title from my profile?

I notice that some of Elisabeth McNeill's historical novels are also listed for Elizabeth McNeill, who is the pseudonymous author of Nine and a Half Weeks. Probably reviewers of the historical works misspelled the author's name.
Can someone fix this?

Nope. Imports. Anyway, fixed 'em.

Do you still want it on your author profile? I can do that for you if the answer is yes.

"Voices Of The Voiceless" is not my publication and I was advised to contact you.
Also, I have been updating my data, but cannot seem to obtain a link to update my publication "Ghosts of the Great Ocean Road" I think it is because I did not enter the data originally. Can I be give permission to edit the data so that I may upload a cover pic.
There are also three editions of 'Shadow Dreaming' One is digital, one paperback and one kindle edition. There are two listed on the site, but the Paperback is not listed as part of the Series and should be amended. The Kindle edition is not listed and of the two that are listed, they are not linked as the same but different editions. They are identical in text, the digital editions have picture content that the print edition does not have. I have not listed the kindle edition here as the digital edition lists kindle as a download I believe.
Wasn't sure if I should list/add the kindle edition or not.. so I thought I would ask.
Thank you for your time
Jan Hawkins

As for the other issues you brought up, I'll check it all out and get back to you. :)
Edit: Voices of the Voiceless moved to Jan^^Hawkins. (You are Jan^Hawkins, with ^ being a space.)

Someone around here has a naughty corner.. maybe I am gunna take up residence there.

Don't worry about it! ;) If you've just sent in the "claim your profile" application, you'll likely be confirmed within the next two to three days, so at that point you'll be able to upload the cover yourself. However, if you have the file or a link to it (non-bookseller links only!) and want it up sooner, one of us here can get it for you.
As for the editions of Shadow Dreaming, I've combined them, which means they're now linked as editions as the same book. I'll also get to work creating series listings to gather your series books in one place (authors don't have the ability to do that, so even after you're confirmed in the GR Author program, that's something you'll still need our help with unless you apply to be a librarian).
As for the Kindle edition of Shadow Dreaming, you can go ahead and add that into the database.
Edit: Here's the series listing for Around the Campfire and here's the one for The Dreaming Series. I didn't see specifically pointed out on your list of works, so if you can tell me what the second book of Around the Campfire is, I'll add that. :)

i have added the other edition... had trouble with the isbn as I own it and it was with the Smashwords edition but I used the asin instead. that worked
thankya from your help
Just in a question... I noticed that there is a 'upload a digital file' button. Is the for exerpt chapters or if I upload the entire book is that like setting it free?
jan

Added. :)
Jan wrote: "in the 'Around the campfire series' Book 2 is "ghosts of the Great Ocean Road" the one I cant edit the cover for."
I've combined it with the other editions. And sorry about that, I should have mentioned that for GR purposes, we match Kindle editions to ASINs, not ISBNs.

Either/or. Here's a screenshot of your options for uploading ebooks as an author. (But this isn't a librarian issue, so any more questions you have on the subject should be directed toward the Author Feedback Group.)
In the last few days I had a few books appear on my author profile, can some one please take them off of it? My correctly authered books are
Book of Prophecies
Prayers Poems Songs
Boy who dreams
Boy at war
Would appreciate help, thanks :)
