Sara Price | 3 comments I started this book before I joined the group. It's the second book in a series and so far I'm loving it. It gets a bit sluggish in the middle but Rothfuss is an excellent writer. Can't wait to finish it and find a blue book as well. I love that this site gives you some direction so now I won't have to amilessly try to pick out books.

Lee Burton (lsburton337) Yeah, a friend sent me The Name of the Wind and I let it sit on my shelf for a year like, 'pfft, stupid fantasy.' Then, finally, I picked it up and read it in 3 days, and made the fastest turnaround from The End to Bookstore to find the sequel since I first read LOTR in the mid-90s.

Im choked that it's gonna take a few years for the next one.

Amy (terzahcain) | 40 comments It's funny how books are like friends you meet in passing, sometimes finding an unexplainable urge to get to know them better, sometimes excusing yourself from their company with a smile and polite wink. We may never understand the combination of fate and coffee that bring us to revisit one or the other, opening with a quirky story and ending with tearful eyes and a heartfelt hug.

Rooks (astorytellingofrooks) | 27 comments I haven't read this yet - despite owning it - because I convinced myself that I really ought to reread The Name of the Wind before starting it. I don't think I was wrong, but I got bogged down in the *exact* same place as I did the first time I read that first book; I finished the first 2/3 - 3/4 (up to when he plays for his pipes, or thereabouts) in about a day and a half, and then I stopped reading it entirely. According to pattern, it'll take me two months to finish the damn thing out. It's incredibly odd. But I hope to get to this soon? Your enthusiasm might be the push I need to get to it.

Sara Price | 3 comments I didn't have trouble with the first one but the middle of this one is going a little slow, and I feel like he's dragging out some events way too long. Good Luck on finishing the first. I'm too far in to stop now!
