I like it. Everyone is in a rather good mood. Plus it is jeans day at school.

Mark Burns (TheFailedPhilosopher) | 441 comments That is just the sort of thing they would do to take away from its status as the most depressing day. It's also why it is the day they choose for half days and full days off too. It is supposed to be a result of it being in the exact middle of the week and as far away form the weekend in either direction as a day can be give or take a day.

Mark Burns (TheFailedPhilosopher) | 441 comments I used 'day' a lot.

message 7: by Pat (new)

Pat (patb37) Tuesday is the day I catch up on the work that I could not fit into the day on Monday. When I get stuff done Tuesdays are good. When it turns into a string of meetings and interruptions it's not good.

I don't have a problem with your use of 'day', but I do have a problem with your use of 'it's'.

message 15: by Stina (new)

Stina (stinalee) | 749 comments I spent the weekend with my parents (neither one worked on Friday), my sister and her husband (both off for the summer), my retired grandparents and my retired great-aunt and great- uncle.

On Saturday, EVERYONE in the house said something like, "Gee, I don't even know what day it is!!"

Made me want to slap them silly.

Cheri | 795 comments Oh heck! It is easy to tell what day it is: The crossword puzzle is easier at the beginning of the week. If you can't finish the puzzle in one go, it is getting towards the weekend, you know?

Finally Cheri brings the scientific method to this grievous problem.

message 29: by Chris (new)

Chris (bibliophile85) There's something about Sunday that just seems bleak to me. Nothing happens, Sundays are usually grey outside....its just always felt like a dull, depressing day to me.

Now Friday....that's your Cadillac of days :D

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

I always hated Sundays when I first lived in England in 1990, because there was no post. Course, now with email...it wouldn't matter.
