Claire (clairelynn) | 30 comments I recently read the description of Through To You and have become very intrigued by the idea of parallel universes. Any recommendations for other books on this topic?

Mir | 191 comments There are a huge number of parallel-world books. Do you want just YA books? Do they need to have romance?

Here are a few recs to start. Only the first has romance.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone
A Crack in the Line
The Marbury Lens
MirrorMask: The Illustrated Film Script
Charmed Life

I have a list, although they're not all the same kind of parallel universe that it sounds like Through to you has.

The one that sounds the most interesting out of that list is A Crack in the Line. I don't need it to be young adult, and there doesn't need to be a romance.

The more realistic the better (if that makes sense when talking about parallel universes), like I want to read something that's fiction, but also intellectual.

Does that make more sense? And I'm off to peruse your list now! Thankyou!

Mir | 191 comments Realistic like both universes are basically similar versions of our world? Yeah, A Crack in the Line would be most like that.

Kay (rekindling) | 28 comments Hm, one that I can think off the top of my head is Timeline, though it's more action driven than intellectual. It's about a group of scientists who travel to the Medieval era via parallel universes. Neverwhere was also quite good, though it's more about the London underground rather than sci-fi parallel universes.

No problem. I put a few of them on my to-read list too! Let me know what you think of them when you're done. :)
