Honestly though, my library is even worse. Every single time the barcode covers either the title or the authors name. It's very annoying.

Krystal109 | 1086 comments I hate stickers on DVD's too. They always don't come off clean.

Just had to add that, since I understand your annoyance.

To answer the initial question (although it appears to no longer be an issue in this case), yes, a scanned cover with a defect is better than no cover. However, I would use photo-editing software to replace the barcode with a blank white or black bar.
