Hi Liz.... Salvation Army is my once a week dropin... you never know what goodies they might be selling there! Ive found some great books there.
Welcome!
Welcome!

I like a lot of YA fiction as well - what're your favourite?"
i am not...well not slightly..I am just completely totally obsessed!
I was even checking books on the internet at work(during my last ten minutes of lunch)...but I blame my team leader for it!

Fiona......I have WAY too many faves for YA, but here are a few of the top:
The Farthest Away Mountain - Lynn Reid Banks (my absolute favorite book of all time)
The Hounds of the Morrigan - Pat O'Shea (my second absolute favorite book of all time)
East - Edith Patou
The Dark Is Rising Series - Susan Cooper
A few other books that I love that are not YA:
Darkly Dreaming Dexter - Jeffrey Lindsay
The Virgin Suicides - Jeffrey Eugenides
The Patron Saint of Liars - Ann Patchett
I LOVE BOOKS! I read a lot of YA/children's lit, and I collect fairy tales and mythology. It's hard to get books here (Wal-Mart hardly has anything and the local bookshop = expensive), so I've been going to the library a lot and buying cheap books from the Salvation Army.
I would love new friends to discuss books with!
