Paranormal Romance & Urban Fantasy discussion

I read the book a while back and it's pseudo-Frankenstein book. The main male character was built years ago by this man and he lives through the centuries by conducting electricity usually from lightning through his body and as such has scars all over his body. I believe the setting is in New York. It's a part of a series I just can't seem to remember much about it.

Sounds interesting, hope someone here knows which book your talking about.
