New Wands

In addition to writing about magic wands, I also handcraft wands that conform to my book, Magical Wands: A Cornucopia of Wand Lore. I just finished two wands and will finish two more today. All of the new wands are weeping willow wands made from a couple branches from the willow in my back yard. You can check out the wands at my wand shop's website: Feuerschmied's Wand Shoppe. I also have a shop on Etsy: Feuerschmied Wands. I've had several people get a wand to go with the book or a book to go with the wand.

The Would-Be Wizard

Magical Wands: A Cornucopia of Wand Lore is my most recent book and my first work of fiction. It was written in the style of a non-fiction textbook such as one might find at a real-life magic boarding school. The book's foreword provides the textbook's back story: how an American professor traveling in Scotland finds the magic textbook and what he does to return it to its owner.
Since the book's publication, I've had several people ask me to write a novel the follows the professor on his quest to find The Isle of Skye School of Magick, become a wizard, and obtain his very own wand. Well, this weekend, I finally succumbed and started writing. Three chapters down; only who knows how many more to go.
