Caro is a wandering novelist who struggles with settling down. Unlucky in love (so far), but otherwise lucky in life, she travels the world to meet wonderful people, immerse herself in foreign cultures, learn new cooking styles, and fill her head with ideas and inspiration.

She’s currently traveling through Central and South America, enjoying hot weather, learning Spanish, and writing Sailing Away (working title), her next novel, which is set on a tropical island.

I'd say that my bouts of "writer's block" are caused by a lack of motivation (and not a lack of inspiration). Some days I just feel like looking out the window instead of writing, or I get stressed out by the paid work I have to get done for clients. My current solution is to set myself a set time and word count objective (i.e., 1,500 words or 2 hours, whichever comes first).(less)
