I was born in 1976, studied Physics at university and currently work for the National Health Service in London. I live in East London with my wife and cat.

Since reading Chariots of the Gods by Eric Von Daniken when I was aged 14 I have been passionately interested in alternative and esoteric beliefs. I have been a long time subscriber to Fortean Times and avidly read a wide range of subjects covering spirituality, ancient histories and the occult.

In addition to books I also love listening mainly to ambient and trance music, but also enjoy other types of musc.

I have practiced Yoga and Tai Chi for ten years. Several years ago I spent six months travelling around New Zealand and India where I first had the ideas for a novel. I have always en

The Swastika

In the western world the image of the swastika is now so linked with the Nazi party that it brings revulsion when seen. But in the eastern world the symbol is still commonly seen adorning temples or religious statues of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.

The swastika is one of the most ancient symbols and has been found by archaeologists in almost every area of the world. It's probably most widely see Read more of this blog post »

Sam Esmail
“What I'm about to tell you is top secret. A conspiracy bigger than all of us. There's a powerful group of people out there that are secretly running the world. I'm talking about the guys no one knows about, the ones that are invisible. The top 1% of the top 1%, the guys that play God without permission. And now I think they're following me.”
Sam Esmail

“I think human consciousness is a tragic misstep in human evolution. We became too self aware; nature created an aspect of nature separate from itself. We are creatures that should not exist by natural law. We are things that labor under the illusion of having a self, a secretion of sensory experience and feeling, programmed with total assurance that we are each somebody, when in fact everybody’s nobody. I think the honorable thing for our species to do is deny our programming, stop reproducing, walk hand in hand into extinction, one last midnight, brothers and sisters opting out of a raw deal.”
Rustin Cohle

Bill Hicks
“Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Heres Tom with the Weather.”
Bill Hicks

Henrik Ibsen
“The majority is never right. Never, I tell you! That's one of these lies in society that no free and intelligent man can help rebelling against. Who are the people that make up the biggest proportion of the population -- the intelligent ones or the fools?”
Henrik Ibsen, An Enemy of the People

Ben Okri
“We can redream this world and make the dream come real. Human beings are gods hidden from themselves. ”
Ben Okri, The Famished Road

Eric Brown Namaste Tim,
after reading your profile, I was amazed at how similar we are, except I'm a hundred or so years older. ;-) When I first started writing, I thought I was pretty unique as far as combining spiritual insights and fiction. Am realizing there are more and more of us with a like mind out there. Only one question continues to haunt me on my new found calling: How to reach the 30, odd million people who are practicing yoga? :-) I'd be interested to hear your travails in this process. I'm sure there are quite a few.
thanks for discovering me and requesting my friendship!

Belhor Crowley Thanks for the friend request Tim.
I see that you also seem to enjoy pessimism.
