On My Wishlist (5/8)

Paranormalcy by Kiersten White

Sixteen-year-old Evie's job is bagging and tagging paranormals. Possessing the strange ability to see through their glamours, she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency. But when someone--or something--starts taking out the vamps, werewolves, and other odd beasties she's worked hard to help become productive members of society, she's got to figure it out before they all disappear and the world becomes utterly normal.

Normal is so...

Changing Voices

I read Ink Exchange (book 2 in the Wicked Lovely series) immediately after finishing Wicked Lovely and found the change in perspective both intriguing and refreshing.  There are times, as a reader, when I can't wait to read the next book in a series but find myself becoming a bit tired of the same voice from book to book.  A character's dark and tortured world view can give a series depth but over the course of a series may become annoyingly depressing.  The same can be true of romance in a s...

Svart Lilja's Flowers

Spring is here and I find myself pinning flowers to everything.  I've added flowers to scarves, hats, ribbon chokers, dresses, and wrist cuffs.  It was a very long winter!

While shopping for more floral pieces and accessories I found Svart Lilja's Handcrafted Flowers shop on Etsy .  She has some beautifully crafted pieces in her shop!  You can also see more of her work on her blog Synthetic Dreams .

Images are the copyright of Svart Lilja.

Hobgoblins Nibbling on my Laptop

A few days ago, while venturing back to my writing desk, I noted with dismay that pesky hobgoblins had been busily nibbling upon my laptop.  The greedy little creatures didn't leave much behind.  With a shriek of alarm (or had that come from me?) and a gleam of beady, mischievous eyes they vanished leaving only laptop scraps behind.  I apologize for my absence over the past few days.  I ordered and have now received my new laptop and have promised my raven sentinels an extra helping of seed a...

This week I received some fabulous books.

As you can probably tell by the flippy cover I'v...
