Three Faces of Easter

Easter Suit by Mari Lowry

I found three amazing fine art prints by photographer Mari Lowry at the Frankenkitty Etsy store. All three prints feature an Easter Bunny but each has a very different mood and feel.  Easter Suit is a self portrait that at once conveys beauty, wit, confidence. Learning to Live with Being Invisible seems to convey a sad and lonely acceptance of one's fate while Detour is filled with motion and possibility, and perhaps just a bit of fear and trepidation, as this bunny v...

Hot or Not? Werebugs

Shifters have become increasingly popular in today's fiction writing.  There are werewolves, werebirds, werecats, werebadgers, even weresnakes.  So, I must ask, where are all the werebugs? Is there no place in the paranormal romance genre for shifter insects? I mean, vamps are hot.  Vampires feed by drinking the blood of their host.  Does that make wereticks and shifter mosquitoes uber hot?? O.k., I must confess that I just threw up a little but I have to admit that if a PNR author wrote a no...

Five Flame Review!

Shadows of Myth and Legend , my new book of paranormal poetry, just received a 5 Flame Review by Amy at My Overstuffed Bookshelf !
5 FLAMES-Outstanding Book That Will Stay On My Bookshelf For Rereading!  This rating is the top rating a book can get. If I enjoy a book so much I will make it a nice little home on my bookshelf. I have one bookshelf set aside for books that I plan on keeping until my hubby puts me in the ground. These are books that if for some reason I have no books in my TBR...

In My Mailbox: 3/30

This week I received both books and dvds In My Mailbox.  I had ordered box sets of some of my favorite tv shows and was happy when Supernatural: Season 1, Supernatural: Season 2, Supernatural: Season 3, Supernatural: Season 4, and Moonlight arrived in the mail.  New Moon was released on dvd and arrived this week as well.  I also received a copy of The Crazy School, Wherever Nina Lies, and a Sing Me to Sleep bookmark.

In My Mailbox is hosted weekly by The Story Siren.

Review: Wondrous Strange

I have been reading many modern day paranormal fantasy books lately involving faeries and changelings and was pleasantly surprised that this book didn't disappoint.  Kelley is a likable main character but I must confess to being much more drawn to the supporting characters of this book.  Sonny, the solemn Janus with a past, Tyff, Kelley's roommate, Lucky (you'll just have to read WS to learn about Lucky!), and the hodgepodge of eccentric characters in Kelley's theater troupe make this an enjo...

Supernatural Anime: Paranormal Investigators

Amazon is having a HUGE sale on anime dvds!  I couldn't help myself and ordered three supernatural anime, Ghost Hunt, Tactics, and Mushi-shi, that each have a very different approach to paranormal investigations.

If you are an anime fan and don't already own these box sets then I highly recommend all three.  If you are a fan of the supernatural and enjoy shows involving paranormal investigations, then I would suggest beginning with Mushi-shi.  It is very slow paced and doesn't involve the t...
