May Newsletter
Hi Everyone,
April was a busy month and the first of May came and went before I knew it. Then I was busy with the day job and getting ready for the vacation that I just got back from. Within that time I had two releases come out, Vengeance: Devil’s Tavern 2 with Purple Sword Publications and Impassioned Waters: Storm Riders 3 with Sugar and Spice Press.

The other idea is a little bit of a secret but I will say it involves a shape shifting alien. I’m not really into sci-fi so this project will be a little bit different for me. I hope to have to done by the end of the summer. We’ll see how it goes. The Dragon and His Houseboy 2 is almost done. I should be editing it next week.
If you’re going to be in Charlotte, NC June 1st- June 3rd come and see me at ConCarolina as I’ll be a panelist and I’ll be at FandomFest June 28-July 1st in Louisville, KY. So come out and say hello.

Adina, looking for acceptance, has come to the Riders hoping for an open position among them. Trouble follows her, no matter how much she tries to hide.
Not able to deny their growing attraction to one another, each cowboy must face the passion between all three of them. When someone tries to kill Adina, they swear vengeance and go in search of her shooter, only to find that heaven has other plans for these three lovers.
Excerpt:
Wes felt a pang of heartache. “Well it sounds like you chose the right thing to do. Again, I’m sorry for bringing this on you.”“Daniel saw all of my memories. I don’t know if him seeing how I said no to my mother was the thing that got him to let me live. At least until the other angels find out. Then I guess I’ll face them too.”“Maybe he won’t tell them. You’ll be safe as long as we keep watch over you.” Samuel knelt before Adina. He took her hands in his and gazed up at her, completely enamored with her.A pang of jealously went through Wes seeing his lover ogle Adina. “Ahh will you excuse us for a minute?” Wes got up and tugged on Samuel’s shirt. He pulled him out of the room and a little down the hallway, but still where he could see Adina. Samuel glanced toward her and made to go back into her room when Wes squeezed his arm.“What has gotten into you?” He lowered his voice so she wouldn’t hear them.
Samuel’s expression softened. “Nothing. Why?”“Just a few minutes ago you were telling me to let Daniel have her. Then you were fighting to save her from him. Now you’re kneeling in front of her and slobbering over her like you’re her bitch. Have you lost your mind?”“Of course not. I just think we should make sure that she’s comfortable and she doesn’t want for anything. You said that you didn’t want to see her hurt. We are the ones responsible for this.” Samuel slid his hand along Wes’s stomach and down to his crotch. He cupped his stirring cock and conformed his body to his. “We have to keep her safe, love. I just want to see that happen.” He pressed his lips to Wes’s and tugged on his bottom lip, taking it between his teeth before plunging his tongue deep into Wes’s mouth.Wes moaned from the sudden gesture. He pushed harder into his lover, feeling the solid muscles underneath him. Samuel continued to kiss him, touching his tongue, fondling it. Wes slid his fingers through his partner’s hair enjoying the silky texture of the strands. He always loved Samuel’s hair and how good it felt. Short or long, it didn’t matter it was always soft. He still tasted the beer on Samuel’s breath, but with each lingering kiss, his cock got harder. It was all he could do to pull away from him and focus back on Adina. He knew Samuel was right. They had to keep her save. After all, it was his fault she was exposed. Wes cupped Samuel’s face and ran the pad of his thumb over his lips. Samuel tried to bite it playfully.“Why do I put up with you?” Wes chuckled.“Because you love to fuck me with that eight-inch dick of yours.” Samuel squeezed his shaft.Wes moaned. “Don’t get frisky now. We have to figure out what to do with our guest. And we have to get the glass cleaned up and get her another room while the windows are being replaced. And—”Samuel placed a finger on his lips. “Why don’t we bring her back to the cabin? We have a spare room. That way we can keep a better eye on her in case the angel comes back and says we’re not doing a good enough job.”He sighed. Having Adina that close to them wasn’t something he looked forward to. He didn’t appreciate the idea of her being in the next bedroom where she could hear their intimate moments or even them snoring. And Samuel had a tendency to cut a lot of logs while they slept. Sometimes he was so noisy, Wes ended up in the guest bedroom. Now he would have to sleep on the couch.“I don’t know, Samuel. Having her there might not be such a good idea.”Samuel slid his fingers down Wes’s shirt and began fiddling with one of the buttons on his fly. “Are you afraid that I’m going to sneak in there while you’re fast asleep and try to make love to her? She is an attractive woman.”“When did you start having a thing for women?”His partner shrugged. “I’m not saying I want to fuck her. I’m only saying she’s good-looking. Don’t you think so?”Wes stepped back from Samuel not believing his ears. He’s gone wacky. This has to be her doing. The man he cared about would never comment on a woman. Normally, Wes filled his ears about how big a guy’s dick was or the latest porn he had been looking at on the Internet. Never about women unless he thought she was a guy in a past incarnation. He wanted to say something, but it was clear Samuel was not in control of his faculties. Instead he walked back into the room. Adina was by the windows staring out at the horses, which were running in the enclosure.“They’re so beautiful.”“Yeah, they are. Now undo whatever spell you’ve put on my partner.”Adina turned her eyes were puffy from the crying she had done before. “I’m not sure I know what you mean. I didn’t do anything to Samuel.”“Of course you have. You’ve taken my macho, headstrong boyfriend, and turned him into a besotted fool.”

Guest Blog: Vampire Evolution
Vampire Evolution by Maya DeLeina

Dusting my bookshelf the other day, I gently used my swifter to clean along the spine of my books. “Bite”, “Blood”, “Dark”, “Eternal”, “Immortal”, “Fang”, “Enthrall”, “Count”,I said out loud as I read off the words that jumped out at me in the titles.
You guessed it- I am an erotic vampire romance junkie!
There is nothing that incites emotions in me quite like vampire do. There is just something about the decadent lure and dark mystery of a sex-hungry vampire. Pair that with the imagery that is usually associated with vampires- castles, fog-laced forests, candles and dark rainy nights, and all I want to do is get my hands on more and more books.
Now, I have moods when it comes vampire tales. Sometimes, I like when a story stays true to the basic folklore of vampires- no sun, no food, no reflection in the mirror and the entire stake-through-the heart bit. Yes, it is expectant, but these are the staples I grew up with that are still fascinating to read. Yet, there are other times where I want to read about variations to the traditional myths. I think it is interesting when authors “humanize” vampires to a point. I also don’t mind if the author doesn’t go into scientific detail of why vampires can do things that folklore has always said they couldn’t. I think this opens the door for reader’s imagination to run wild.
And this is exactly what happened to me as a reader- vampires “evolved” in my head.
When I sat down and penned my own erotic vampire romance stories, I set out to mix some of the traditional legends and new elements in my vampires. Since the excitement is all about discovering these twists and turns in the stories, I won’t reveal everything that are in my books. But, I will spill the beans on one thing I did come up with.
The eyes.
I’ll let an excerpt from my book, Veil of Seduction- Ambrose Heights Vampires 2, explain:

“Black?” Ryan asked, his attention sharp as ever.
Eilian sighed. “Ryan, when a human is turned, the sclera, the white part of your eyes, changes color during the transformation. It’s like the saying, the eyes are the window to the soul? You know, because they can give away what someone is thinking? Well, the eye color reveals the human character that imprints on vampire transformation. Red is passion. White is harmony. Yellow is valor. The continuum of traits within each shade can be far-reaching.”
“And black?” Ryan asked.
Eilian looked at Ryan dead-on. “I think you know what black is.”
“Black is bad,” Rhys said bluntly.
Ryan turned in Rhys’s direction with a look of anger plastered on his face.
“Rhys! Easy!” Eilian yelled. Turning to Ryan, Eilian continued, “Ryan, black is dark and sometimes evil. The translation can be wide ranging. In your case, you recalled everything of yourself and your possessions.” Eilian paused and looked at Rhys. “So yes, while black is bad, we think your blackness is the transference of egotism—self-indulgence.”
“And why tell me this? You want to leave me an eternity to think about how wrong I lived my life, how I didn’t love or care for anyone in my life other than myself? Is that it?” Ryan blurted, full of annoyance and anger.
“Look, it can be something you can correct! Human lives now, they’re very complicated. There’s so much expectation in the short time they’re given on earth. It’s all ingrained—an encoding of achievements, possessions, relationships, benchmarks life is measured by. All of this can make a human place material possession at the top of their list. And with that, they can lose touch with what’s really important in life. Ryan, we’re telling this to you now, because you have the ability to change it. You’ll see. A vampire’s existence is undemanding. We have very basic needs. The concept of time is different for us. With this, we have the potential to feel with unfathomable measure, to love, to empathize, to cherish more deeply,” Eilian explained, trying to console Ryan.
“Steffan should’ve just left me alone to die rather than suffer with this,” Ryan said coldly.
“Steffan and I, we were turned a long time ago. Our maker gave us a choice, like Steffan gave you. After we awoke from the transformation, Steffan had an overwhelming need to find his wife. It was all that consumed him. Back then, we could only move at night. Long story short, when we got to his wife, it was too late. She had died in childbirth. Since that time, he’s been searching for a mate to fill the void in his heart. He cherishes love, Ryan. When he heard you mention a woman, above the pain and suffering you were in, he chose to change you so death wouldn’t take you away from your love like it did for him.”
So the eyes have everything to do with the vampires of Ambrose Heights. And depending on the color projected in the eyes, a tangled web of treachery, lies and deceit can shape the ultimate eternity for the vampires.

Fae Dreams – M/F

The next morning, Gracelannotices a gift on her back porch. When she repeats the ceremony a second night,a handsome stranger knocks at her door a short time later, and return thebasket she'd left in the meadow. Intrigued by the visitor, Gracelan learnsLorian is a fae and she discovers he wants her more than anything. Drawn to himbeyond anything she's ever experienced before, it isn't until Gracelan uncoversher secret past that they can hope to be together.
Excerpt: When I openedmy eyes again, I thought it was morning. Birds were chirping and sunlightstreamed through the trees. I was at the end of the path by the table. When Ilooked down I was wearing a thin blue nightie. The air was warm and the scentof jasmine lingered on the breeze. "Hello,Gracelan."I spun aroundand saw Lorian leaning against the tree. He was tan in the light with aglittery quality to his skin. My breath stopped in my throat when I saw him. Hewas beautiful. His lips were twisted into a breathtaking smile and it took allmy will to stand my ground and not go to him."What do youwant?""You." Hebeckoned me over to him, wiggling his finger at me.I tried to stopmyself from going to him, but it seemed I had lost all my will power. He hadcontrol over me. This place was his to command and so was I. I knew it was adream, but I wasn't going to force myself to wake up. All of me desired to seewhere this would lead."Why me?" Istood a few inches from him.He reached upand flipped the hair from my shoulder. His long finger traced my cheek then mylip. "I have my reasons. Tell me to leave and I will. Tell me you desire me andI'll infuse you with a passion you've never known before."My thoughtswere muddled. He was giving me a choice. Part of me shouted to wake up, but itwas a small part. Mostly I yearned to be ravaged by him. I stood on tiptoe andbrushed my lips across his which were infused with a subtle hint of vanilla.Lorian slid his arms around my waist and pulled my closer to him. His fingersrested on the top of my ass and moved lower until he gripped the cheeks firmly, the evidence of his arousal resting against my thigh. I bit his lip and thrustmy tongue into his mouth. I let my hands side over his chest, between us untilI cupped his cock. At that moment, he broke the kiss and lifted me up. A smallsqueal left my lips as he sat me on the table.Lust burned inhis eyes. He captured my lips and gripped my breasts. A feeling of haste andneed overwhelmed me. I yanked down his pants and licked my lips at the sight ofsuch a magnificent dick. I tried to stroke it more, but he growled and wrenchedup my camisole exposing me to the cool air. With Lorian kneading my breasts, Ipushed into him until he pinched my nipples and I cried out. The blaze heignited in me needed to be fanned. One hand leftmy breast while the other wrapped through my hair. Lorian pulled my head backso I could look into his eyes. "Do you wantme?"I nodded."Say it."
A Lion's Heart - M/MExcerpt:
Long black hair hung to his broadshoulders. The craftsman who had tempted the face from the stone should becommended because Mysis was perfect. Prominent cheekbones with a smooth jawline, a straight nose that came to a slight point and fine black eyebrows shadoweddeep, honey brown eyes. His eyes were filled with wisdom and yet were sobeautiful they captured Reseph. Tears burned his eyes at Mysis's magnificence. He touched his face to the floor again not able to look at the glorious beingbefore him. Satin fingers trailed downhis cheek and settled under his chin. The tip of Mysis's nails pushed into hischin and forced him to lock eyes with the god. His heart fluttered like atrapped butterfly beating inside of his chest, trying to fly away from the awesomenessof the moment. "M-My lord, what can I―?"The god smiled and placed afinger on his lips to silence him. The gesture alone spurred sent a jolt ofpassion straight to his core. Reseph tried to push it aside knowing it waswrong to feel that way for the man before him. "I want you to answer me aquestion."Reseph nodded, not wantingto say anything else in case it angered the god."Why did you take thelibations from my altar this afternoon?"Fear ran his blood cold. Thiswould be the end of him. Even if it was a dream, the gods could do terriblethings to him. He might wake up and find a lion waiting to devour him. He triedto look away, but the god held him by the chin. Mysis's face remained calm andhis eyes showed no anger, but Reseph wasn't about to underestimate thecelestial being. From what he had learned from Pawah, the gods were fickle. "Forgive me. I-I didn't takeit for myself. I'd never think to put myself before you. I only did it because themother of one of your lions wasn't feeding her cub.""You do understand thatsometimes even my blessed animals die. It is the cycle of life."He nodded. "Yes. But Icouldn't let him die and there was food aplenty.""So you stole from my altarto save the cub, not caring I might have use of the milk and honey left to me."Shivers ran through his bodyas he tried to stay calm. A tear slipped from his eye. "Forgive me, greatMysis. It will never happen again. I swear. Please don't punish me."The god took Reseph's facebetween his hands. Even though terror gripped him, he couldn't help but bearoused by the god's soft touch. It stole his breath and ran his throat dry.His eyes widened and when Mysis ran a finger down his cheek. It took everythingin him not to let out a moan. "You are forgiven, Reseph. Not many of my priests would show the compassion to help one of my sacredanimals. I admire that. I had to see for myself if your act reflected yourheart. And it does.""Thank you, my lord." Reliefflooded him as the god admitted he wasn't going to take out vengeance on him.Mysis wiped the tear fromhis cheek. That soft touch made him yearn for more. "You have my permission to gleanwhat you need from my altar to care for this little one. If the priestquestions you, pray to me and I will be sure he doesn't give any trouble. Ifyou mistreat the cub or don't keep up your care for him, I shall be back. Know that I shall be watching.""Of course, magnificent one."He breathed a sigh of relief, but the god hadn't released him. "Is theresomething else I can do for you?"Mysis trailed his fingerdown Reseph's throat and over his collarbone. "I've had my eye on you for some time. You're very pious in your devotions to me. The village girls who pray to mehave their eye on you, but you don't give them a second look. Why is that?"His eyes widened. Why is he asking me this? It shouldn'tmatter who he was attracted to. He wasn't allowed to have intercourse becauseit was the edict of any priest to keep himself pure to serve the gods. Mysis'sfingers feathered over Reseph's chest until they rested above his heart whichnearly stopped. "I've never found them desirable. It's always been men, CelestialOne."The god leaned closer untilhis lips were only inches from Reseph's. "And would it bother you if I visitedyou from time to time?""Who am I to deny youanything?"Mysis laughed. "Even in myinfinite power, I would not take away your free will. I sense your longing forme in this form. And I know your true devotion." He trailed his finger overReseph's bald head which made him close his eyes in ecstasy. "Would it pleaseyou if I visited you again?"

One of the things I really like about a series is therevisiting of familiar characters. In Lure Of Forever you will find a lot ofcharacters from Lure Of The Blood. It was fun seeing how Ion and Marnie relatedto each other a couple of years on.
You don't have to read Lure Of The Blood to understand LureOf Forever. Each story stands on its own, but if you have read Ion's andMarnie's story, then I think you too will have a little chuckle at this scene.Well, hopefully you'll chuckle even if you haven't read it."Here, sit down, before you fall down, and I'll make you some breakfast. Knowing Lucas you'llneed the sustenance this morning."Heat rose in Coralie'scheeks at the implied suggestion and Ion laughed."Do as you're told. When she gets like that it's not worth arguing. She barged in here about anhour ago, insisting on cooking breakfast to keep your strength up." Heleaned forward and flicked Coralie's hair off her neck with a low whistle. "Andlooking at those, she was right, as usual."Coralie pulled her hairback over the tiny wounds and then thought better of it. She wasn't ashamed ofLucas's marks on her body and she twisted her hair up with the hair band on herwrist. Ion's smile deepened at her actions, his eyes once again resting on her neck and she stared him down. What was hisproblem? She jumped when a hugeplate, filled to the brim with eggs, bacon, sausages and toast appeared infront of her. Marnie's warm hand caressed her shoulder as she urged Coralie toeat."Go on. I want to seeall of that gone and I'm not leaving until you've eaten it all. You may want tostock up on iron, too. It'll take you less time to recover that way.""What?" Coraliesqueaked her response and her hand went to her neck involuntarily. "I'mfine, really. He didn't do anything I didn't want him to."Ion's smirk in response toher protests earned him a slap upside the head from Marnie. His wolf growled inresponse, but he smiled at his wife and envy poked Coralie with a red-hot stabout of nowhere. The look of love the couple exchanged—she wanted that so badlyher insides twisted in on themselves. She raised her coffee cup to her lipswith unsteady hands and glanced towards the door leading to the cellar. Thesunlight streaming into her kitchen just confirmed the futility of herthoughts. He was a vampire, an ancient one at that. He would soon grow boredand move on, and even if he didn't—he didn't age—she would. Every day she grewolder and one day he would wake up to an old woman and then… She screwed her eyes shut, disgusted with herself and her rambling thoughts. It wasn't as though he'ddeclared his everlasting love to her. Circumstances had thrown them togetherand he felt honor-bound to protect her. And he was a man— of course he'd takethe sex on offer. It was her own stupid mistake that she'd fallen in love withhim. He'd never made any false promises to her. She swiped away the tearrunning down her cheek with an impatient wave of her hand and opened her eyesto find Marnie and Ion both watching her."Really, I'm okay. Hedidn't hurt me." Ion simply raised aneyebrow at her. Marnie's eyes darted to Coralie's neck and she smiled, beforeshe looked away, seemingly lost in thought. Ion took her hand and murmured somethingthat Coralie couldn't quite catch and Marnie cupped Ion's cheek tenderly, before addressing Coralie with a smile."Of course he didn't.Lucas is in love with you, any fool can see that."Ion choked on the swig ofcoffee he'd just taken and Coralie wasn't at all sure she wasn't staringopenmouthed at Marnie. She couldn't be serious."Forgive Marnie. Shesees romance in the air everywhere." Ion's amused tones filled thekitchen, but his wife simply pulled a face at him."Don't listen to him. He's a typical male—can't see anything unless you hit him over the head withit." She dismissed Ion's warning growl with a wave of her hand and leanedforward to emphasize her point. "Is the great Lucas not slumming it rightnow in your basement?" She clapped her hand at Coralie's reluctant nod."Well, then. Don't you think he could have stayed in any number of places, should he have wished it? Why do you think he's so insistent to stay close toyou? The pack could handle your protection detail just fine." Marnie flickeda strand of her hair off her face with an impatient shake of her head and fixedher chocolate eyes firmly on Coralie. "No, this is personal and I couldn'tbe more delighted. It's about time he settled down.""Settled down?"Coralie didn't seem able to project her voice with any conviction over theblood rushing in her ears. Marnie had to be imagining things. "He doesn'tseem the settling down type.""Of course he is.Just takes the right woman to make these stubborn males see sense.""Watch who you're callingstubborn, little one," Ion interrupted his wife and Coralie mumbled herexcuses, whilst Ion kissed his wife senseless. She couldn't stay and witnessthis anymore. It was too painful.
Okay maybe chuckle and feel for Coralie. Things are about togo from bad to worse for my poor heroine…
Book Blurb:You'd think a three thousand year old vampire wouldbelieve in forever. Not Lucas. He has an escaped demon to hunt and no time forthe follies of humankind. When strip-o-gram Coralie arrives on his boat, sheawakens human instincts long buried, and protecting her becomes of paramountimportance.
Coralie, standing in for a friend, is mortallyembarrassed at having stumbled onto the wrong boat. The vampire wannabe sheencounters makes her body sing in ways she never thought possible. Finding outthat he is indeed the real thing throws everything she ever believed in intodoubt.
With the demon closing in and the future of humanityin peril will they manage to find their forever?

Author bioGlutton for punishment wouldbe a good description for Doris... at least that's what she hears on an almost daily basiswhen people find out that she has a brood of nine children, ranging from adultto baby and lives happily in a far too small house, cluttered with children, pets, dust bunnies and one very understanding and supportive husband. Domestic goddess she is not.
There is always something better to do after all, like working on thelatest manuscript and trying not to scare the locals even more than usual bytalking out loud to the voices in her head. Her sexy Alpha heroes and sassyheroines tend to be pretty insistent to get their stories told, and youwill find Doris burning the midnight oil on a regular basis. Only time to getany peace and quiet and besides, sleep is for wimps. She writes contemporary, erotic and paranormal romance.
German born, Doris now resides in the middle of a busy town in Bedfordshire/Englandand dreams of a nice big house by the sea, with plenty of space to run kids anddogs and let her imagination soar.

Sorin knocked on the bathroom door. Theradio was turned down and Nicolette appeared at the door wrapped in a towel. Her hair was slightly tangled, but it was damp. The scent of the lavender inthe shampoo and the cranberry in the soap clung to her skin and tresses madehis mouth water. He swept his gaze over her body and his eyes settled on theswells of her breasts. Water droplets clung to the curve of her shoulder. Oneslid down and dropped into the hollow between her breasts. His gums tingledwith the thought of tasting her. His cock tightened at the idea of slidingbetween her milky thighs and feeling them wrapped around him. "Are you okay?" she whispered. The fear in her voice snapped him outof his daze. Sorin shook his head and then clamped down on his control. Histhroat suddenly went dry when he met her wide brown eyes. "I-I'm fine. It'sjust been a while and…" "I understand. I never thought I'd wantto be with anyone after Tristan, but here I am." "I bought some things. I wasn't sure ifyou needed them or not. I set them on the counter in the kitchen." "Thanks. I'll look at them later. Youdon't happen to have a brush." "In my bedroom. I'll go get it." She grabbed his wrist and stopped him. "Maybeyou could help me with the tangles. If you don't mind." A smile tugged on the corners of hislips despite how he tried to hide his nervousness. "I can oblige." He led her into his bedroom and grabbedthe brush on his dresser. In the past he had always watched Tatiana brush herhair, but she always kept it short. Nicolette had hair that flowed down herback like melted chocolate. She scooted onto the bed and he stood behind her.He gripped the brush handle and heard the plastic groan from the force of hisgrip. Sorin tried to relax, took a section of her hair, and lightly pulled thebrush through it. The wetness of the strands clung to his fingers and showeredthe bed with little droplets of water, but he didn't care. He pulled thebrushed through another few tendrils and his fingers brushed along her nape. The heat of her skin burned him. "I won't break. You can pull harder."She turned and looked at him. He nodded and worked on the side of herhair closest to her neck. From his vantage point, he saw the beautiful line ofher shoulder and her collarbone that effortlessly moved into the swell of herright breast. The brush dropped from his fingers and hit the carpet. Sorinpushed the hair from her throat and placed a light kiss right under her ear. "I hunger for you, Nicolette. I hungerfor your body and your blood. You know what I am, but can you accept me truly?"His fangs broke through his gums, drawn out by the sweet promise of her blood. Even though he had watched her for thepast month making sure she was protected, being so close to her, had drummed upfantasies of slicing into her throat. It had driven his hunger to a maddeningstate that he was feeding every other night just to keep it in check because hedesired her so much. He trailed is finger over her jugular vein, feeling thepulsing warmth just beneath the smooth skin. Nicolette turned and met his gaze.In her eyes, he saw the fear of what she was relenting to, but also theexcitement and the acceptance. Her skin was flushed with the anticipation oftheir joining and it only added to his exhilaration. "I'm not afraid of you, Sorin."Nicolette placed a hand on his face and drew him to her lips. Her kiss was fullof a hunger all its own as their mouths met and caressed one another. She bithis lip and tugged on it before letting him go. She took in a deep breath andthen angled her head. Sorin leaned closer and placed his lipson her throat, tasting her skin. The soap had a salty tang to it along with thebitter flavor of the cranberry added to it. He draped his left arm over herleft shoulder and slid his fingers over her collarbone. Sorin swiped his tongueover the column of her neck until he found the perfect place to bite. Her pulsethrobbed against his lips. The warmth was there and it was all his for the taking. His teeth grew to their full length and with one quick bite, trying not to hurther, he punctured her throat. Nicolette's back arched when he bither. Sorin held her to him, resting his palm over her heart. A passionate cryescaped her throat. Her blood rushed over his tongue and then down his throat. Hermemories swam through his mind. They were too overwhelming for him to focus on.But her emotions were sharp. In them he sensed his beloved and Nicolette. Therewas also the sadness of her recent loss. He understood it had also affected hersoul too. Her hands clutched his. The blood he took in was beyond anything hehad ever tasted before. There was power in it and longing. The flavor of copperand the slight tang of something else he couldn't describe. It took everythinghe had to pull away from the fount so he could focus on the woman on the bed. He swiped his tongue over the woundsand then unwound from Nicolette so he could see how she was doing. Sorin sat onthe bed and looked at her. Her eyes were closed. Her chest rose and fell, drawingin several breaths. The wounds stood out on her pale throat. He touched hercheek. "Are you okay?" Nicolette opened her eyes. "I'm fine. That was amazing. Nothing that I've experienced before." She bit her lip andthen started to undo her towel. "Are you sure about this?" Sorin asked.

March Newsletter
Hi Everyone,

Not much planned for March in the way of cons or bigprojects. Although I do have two scheduled releases that are planned, PassionFur Three with AmiraPress and Smoke Jumpers: Storm Riders 2 with Sugarand Spice Press.
Working on a new M/M book about an Egyptian Lion God and hisdevoted priest. There is no title yet, but so far it isn't going as planned. But that isn't nothing new. After that will be The Dragon and His Houseboy 2. Anew cast of characters will appear, but the old ones will put in their twocents as well. From there the plan is to work on the next book in the Fur world(ThreeFur All, PassionFur Three). I have a good idea of where I want to go with the book and I'llbe combining this book with characters from ACat For All. I hadn't planned on that originally, but the charactersstarted talking to me about another book so we shall see how they fit intoplot.
After that anything goes.
Read below for some sneak peeks.
Hope you all have a great month.

Alonzo walks in on Merin kissing Callin and drives her from the house. He forbids Callin to see her again. All the while, Callin is investigatingrogue forest fires. Merin gets dragged to Alonzo's shop by her best friend. Heapologizes to her and invites her back to their place for dinner. At once, their mutual passion blazes between all three of them.
Meanwhile, their commander tells them to ditch Merin and for Callin todiscover whose setting the unscheduled fires before the angels notice. If theangels get involved, all of them will be punished. Will Callin find whose lighting the infernosor will the angels get to it first?
Excerpt: He sighed. Hispartner would have to wait. He hefted the unconscious woman over the horse'sback and grabbed her pack. With a graceful leap, he settled onto the horse andwrapped his arm around her waist. He wound his free hand into the horse's mane."Can you get us home please so I can take care of her?" The horse snorted and began running towardthe fire. As he did, he also burst into flames. Atop the horse, the Rider andthe woman were unaffected by the combustion. On his steed, he was invisible toany human passing by and going faster than any man-made vehicle. Inferno was amystical mount who had chosen Callin when he took the position as Rider fiftyyears ago. It was his job to control firestorms whenever they broke out. He andhis fellow Rider, Alonzo, were only two of the Riders who controlled theelemental storms. After a few minutes, Inferno halted near a house they sharedin the middle of the woods, up on a mountain away from civilization. Alonzo andhe wanted to be away from things just in case they lost their temper. It woulddo them no good if their neighbor's house caught on fire when they had aquarrel. He slid off the horse and carefully picked up the woman. Infernosnorted but didn't comment when he brought her into the house. He waited forsome witty retort from the elemental, but got nothing. He dropped the woman'spack on the floor. Alonzo greeted him at the door. The other Rider gave him a questioning lookwhich he ignored. He pushed past him went through the kitchen and settled thewoman on the couch in the living room. "Can you get me some water please?" Alonzo reappeared with a cup of water and awet cloth from the kitchen. He leaned against the door frame arms crossed overhis chest and motioned to the woman on the couch. "Where in the hell did youfind her?" Callin glanced up into the honey coloredeyes of the other Rider. His toned chest and defined arms were visible underthe sleeveless plaid shirt he wore unbuttoned. His blue jeans were worn at theknees and a little too tight, hinting at what was underneath waiting to beunleashed. Peeling his gaze away from his lover, he began dabbing the wet clothon her face to wipe away the black soot. Her hair was filled with bits of ashand her clothes were ruined. Her jeans were scorched where she'd jumped throughthe fire. He ran his hand down her cheek feeling the softness of her flesh. Somuch different than touching Alonzo's rough one. "She was at a campsite in the forest. I waswalking to clear my head and I noticed a fire had sprung up. She was in themiddle of it. I couldn't let her burn." He shivered at the memory of firelicking against his flesh so long ago. The memory was so vivid it still madehim wince. "Cal,you should've left her. We could get into trouble." He gritted his teeth. "She doesn't knowanything. I wasn't on a job. How many times are we going to have thisconversation? I do my job when we're not riding the flames. I've saved others'lives and nothing's happened. Besides, you didn't leave me." The other Rider sighed. "That wasdifferent. I needed a partner. Events happened and the timing was right. Youwere too adorable to lose. Hey, what happened to that cross I gave you?" Callin touched his neck only to find thenecklace was gone. "Must have fallen off when I went to rescue her. Sheprobably grabbed it. I'll look for it after." "You'd better." He wiped the rest of the grime off thewoman's flesh. Her skin was tanned underneath the soot. Her heart shaped facehad smoothed out in her unconsciousness. Her even breathing said she was goingto be out of it for a while. Callin pressed his hand against her forehead andclosed his eyes. The healing gift he'd inherited from his mother flowed throughhim to the woman. He took a quick stock of her condition and her injuries.Everything was minor and she was sleeping peacefully. The flames that hadconsumed her pant legs hadn't done any damage to her flesh. Coming back to himselfleft him slightly dizzy. His mother and grandmother had been laying on handsfaith healers from the turn of the century through the depression. He'dinherited a minor level of the first. He stood up and shrugged off his coat andpants. He felt Alonzo's gaze burning into his back watching his every move. Attimes he didn't understand the possessiveness his partner felt for him. Theywere lovers, but sometimes the hovering got to him. That's why he'd gone outfor air tonight. Earlier in the evening, they had gotteninto an argument over something minor about redoing their kitchen. Alonzodidn't want a new stove, but Callin wanted to focus more on his cooking becausehe would have to change jobs soon. He needed some air to clear his head. Alonzoknew how much he loved fighting fires and soon he would have to give that upfor a while due to their particular lifestyle. A warm hand touched his shoulder lightly."I'm sorry. It's not up to me to say if she should live or die, but did you have to bring her here?" Callin turned and caressed his lover'sface. Alonzo turned his cheek into his palm. The other Rider's eyes beggedforgiveness. Alonzo's hand slid over the top of his and interlaced theirfingers. His other hand trailed down his back and rested on the top of his ass."Fuck. You really know how to lay on the guilt trip. Giving me those puppy dogeyes." He captured the other man's lips in a rough, sloppy kiss. Running hishand over Alonzo's crotch, he felt his dick stir from the attention. Alonzo sucked on his lower lip beforebreaking the kiss and then grabbing a handful of his ass. "We've been togetherlong enough I know what gets you hot. I'm sorry about our argument earlier. Youknow how I get when it comes to changing things up. I'm stubborn that way." A burning pain shot through his skin wherehis lover touched him. The fire raced along his veins and made him buckforward. Sweat broke out on his forehead from the sudden rise in his bodytemperature. His partner knew better than to get anything started while thewoman was on the couch. Callin wasn't sure when she would awake. Another shotof heat curled around his insides. Alonzo's hand left his face and began toyingwith the zipper of his jeans. "I know you are. 'lonzo ,you aren't makingthis easy for me." The other Rider batted his long eyelashes. He hated that Alonzo knew how to work him over so easily. One smoldering lookfrom under those droopy lids of his made his mouth water. Callin's cock shiftedgetting harder the more Alonzo played around. His hand now ran the length ofthe seam along his crotch barely touching the material, but Callin could feelthe heat from his flesh as he used a little bit of his power to entice him. "I never make this easy for you. Besides Iwant to wrap my lips around your dick and make you scream," he breathed intohis ear.

Guest Blog: Voyeur Eyes Only
Anerotic collection of shorts stories by best-selling authors with a centraltheme of voyeurism in Las Vegas.Whathappens in Vegas, stays in Vegas? Not anymore…

Awoman's curiosity is piqued as she observes a beautiful stranger being bound insilky red rope. A man scouting for new sex slaves, watches as an elegant womangets more than her hands dirty. A prostitute pulls a switch - sending her loverout on a call. A simple slip of the hand, causes a case of mistaken roomidentity and a linen closet at a nearby hotel, sees more action than all ofthem combined. And that is just the beginning…
Theysay perception is reality. Is what the Voyeur sees through their spyglass justa fantasy; on which side of the lens would you like to be?
Except:
I boarded the plane home from theannual erotic writers conference positively buzzing with excitement. Anxious tosee my sweetie and begin working on some stories, I was cueing up music on myiPod when my seatmate appeared, a tallish man, in his mid 30's I guessed, looking rather conservative in khaki pants, a golf shirt, and expensiveloafers. Nice watch, no wedding ring, and well-toned arms, I noticed. He stowedhis carry-on, folded himself in the aisle seat next to me, and promptly begansending texts on his phone, barely acknowledging my presence.
I wasn't insulted by his actions. Itravel alone fairly well and making small talk with strangers isn't necessarilymy forte. Once the plane was taking off and he had to turn off his cell phone,my seatmate turned towards me.
Hihe said.
HiI answered. Did you have a nice time inLas Vegas?
Yeahwas his reply. Did you?
I told him it was my first time thereand that I found it rather interesting.
OK.He turned to face forward. Figuring that would be the end of the conversation,I pulled a magazine from the seat pocket in front of me and began flippingthrough it. Suddenly he turned towards me again. What were you there for? he asked. I looked up from my magazine. A conference, I answered and went backto reading.
Whatkind of conference?
Awriting conference, I replied, still thumbing through themagazine.
Really? You're a writer? After his one word answers, it seemedthat now he wanted to chat. What do youwrite?
And this, my friends, is always the choicepoint. Do I make up some kind of safe, generic response or do I risk telling atotal stranger what I really write about? I took a deep breath, looked himstraight in the face and replied.
Iwrite erotica, I said, suddenly feeling rather bold, being that I was fresh from the gathering of erotic authors.
His eyes grew wide and he smirkedslightly. Really? What magazine do you write for?
Idon't write for magazines. I am published on the 'net and in ebook anthologies.
He looked at me again. What kind of stories do you write?
Iwrite mostly write about lesbian relationships, with the occasional heterostory thrown in, I answered.
Really?he asked, looking me up and down.
Yes,really. I could see the wheels turning in his head and decidedattempting to redirect the conversation might be a good idea at this point.
Andwhat brought you to Las Vegas? I countered.
Oh,I was there on business, he replied. The work I do requires me to pretty much travel non-stop. I'm homeevery now and again, but it seems like hotels are where I really live. I'vebeen doing it for years now. It seems to suit me.
We chatted a bit more about thepleasures and perils of being on the road and a few other items of worthy ofsmall talk. Eventually the conversation became stilted, as small talk oftendoes. He excused himself and got up out of his seat to go to the bathroom.
I was untangling the cord to theheadset of my iPod when my seatmate returned and settled back down. He lookedat me once more.
Eroticlesbian short stories? You know, I have an ex who would love to meet you,he said, before closing his eyes and falling asleep.

Thank yo so much for participating in the Valentine's Day With Love Blog Hop.
Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day. Hubby gave me an incense burner that is a castle with a dragon wrapper around it and the movie Breaking Dawn. I admit. I like Twilight. I got him some candy and a couple other things we won't mention. :)

With Love V-Day Blog Hop Contest

Hello Everyone! Can you believe it's that time of year again where love is in the air?
It's hard to believe that Cupid is running around shooting arrows at people and getting them to fall in love with one another. It is a wonderful season.
Soon it will be spring and the birds will be chirping. The creative juices will be flowing and all of us authors will be writing our heads off as long as our muses let us.
One of the most romantic things my hubby has done for me was on our fifth wedding anniversary, instead of buying me roses, he went outside and cut roses from our rose bush and places them in a bowl of water for me. Hubby isn't really one for shows of affection, so for him this was very thoughtful. But it's the little things like that display that makes my heart melt. In May we're coming up on eight years so I can only imagine what he will do then
So on to the contest for the Blog Hop.
Real simple everyone. Just leave me a comment about what your most endearing or romantic thing someone has done for you or you have done for them.

Enjoy the Blog Hop and I hope that everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day.
