Progress Update
“Apophis (Baqash Origins)” is with the first readers. I’m getting some great feedback.
I’ve just written the prologue to “Sha’al”. Tomorrow I write the epilogue.
This weekend we shoot the cover for “Apophis”. Many thanks in advance to Mike and Missy for your time.

Prison
I’ve been thinking about writing an inspiration booklet about prison. Interracting with the gentlemen and ladies in the jail gives me a different perspective about myself and the rest of the world.
Certain Scriptures come to mind when I think about prison. Hebrews 13:3 is one of them:
“Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves also are in the body.”
Desmios – “the prisoners” – bound, in bonds, a captive, a prisoner
I’d like it to be a book that workers in prison ministry, the common man, and those in prison could read. Short and full of life.

October Falling Copyright
It’s nice when you see this come in snail mail. Makes it all feel more official even though I received an email stating the same information the day I filed for Copyright.

Apophis First Readers
If all goes well, this evening I should finish the rough draft. Next week I’ll finish the first and second re-write. Who would like to be my first readers? “Apophis (Baqash Origins)” is only 12,000 words and about 50 pages long.
It looks like the novelette will be finished by the second week of June. The release date is intended to be July 31st, that way every 3 months something new comes out.

Vacation, Sadly Over
Our first big family vacation was fun. We visited friends (who are really family), the Pastor who married us (we were his first couple), and drove through some amazing countryside. The valleys in TN, North & South Carolina are amazing as we drove through the Appalachian mountain range. My beautiful bride walked part of the Appalachian Trail.
We visited Amicalola Falls State Park where this photo was taken. We stopped at the trailhead to many trails that begin in Georgia. It’s an 8 mile hike from there to the A. T. Trailhead.
I ask myself, would I love to move down there? The answer is, yes. However, would being inundated by so much beauty constantly would make said beauty familiar and less appreciated? Would I take it for granted? Although, I’d love to stand in my back yard and stare at a mountain directly behind.
Since coming back, life has been a bit hectic. I’ve only written five pages in “Apophis”. I hope to finish the rough draft this week. Tonight I go back to a scene I’ve already written and try to flesh out the sights and smells. What would it look like to see the Two Witnesses speaking fire from their mouths?
“And if anyone wants to harm them, fire flows out of their mouth and devours their enemies; so if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way.” Revelation 11:5.
Will the smell of sulfur fill the courtyard? Will there be a “wumpf” like when you light gasoline that had been poured over a pile of leaves?
