Another Crazy Month

I’ve uploaded the interior file (the actual text) and created a fake cover for “Darash” on Amazon’s Createspace. I’m hoping to order some proof copies later today so that I can check the interior. I’ll also be giving away 1 proof copy here shortly.

Once all of the books are written I’ll be giving away 1 proof copy pack which contains a proof of every book.

When I get the actual cover from my artist I’ll upload that and put the book up for sale on Amazon. I’m hoping for an April 28th release date.

The paperback will be around $15.95 because it is 100 pages longer than Baqash. I’ll see what I can do to lower that price. Kindle version should be $2.99. Next Monday I’ll do the ebook prep work so all I have to do is upload the cover.

Have a blessed weekend

First Readers are Awesome

I gotta say, first readers are awesome. Other than catching grammar and spelling mistakes, they catch your meaning. They take that meaning, toss in a different word, a different word with a bit more flavor, and by doing so take a good sentence, and make it awesome!

Sentence by sentence, trying to paint a picture in the mind’s eye.

April Sales Update

I haven’t done a sales update in a while. My apologies.

Total Units Since 09/2016:

Baqash: 447

I’m going to start my final re-write of “Darash” this week. I hope to have it published on or about the second week of May.

Keep an eye open. I’ll be doing a giveaway here soon.

Crazy Month

So, it’s been a crazy month. Been sick three times. Indiana / Illinois car title and plate issues are never fun to deal with. “Darash” is still with my first readers, hoping to hear back from them soon. I hope to have “Darash” published by April 30th.

I’ve only been able to write one chapter of “Apophis”. I’m hoping to continue writing that Tuesday.

Two months ago I become a Gideon. Camp Chaplain and Webmaster. And trying to witness to the prisoners at the local jail.

My beautiful baby girl loves to point and say, “that”.

As my bride reminds me of something I say: “Life happens.”

Super, super busy. Been making time for family too.

2,000 Years

I’ve been meditating on Mark 9:1

And Jesus was saying to them, “Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God after it has come with power.” – NASB

I’ve been thinking on it amongst the context of the entire Word, because Scripture must agree with Scripture. Still, it makes me wonder if one of the Disciples are still alive. Wouldn’t that make for a fascinating story?

If so… then would the returned kingdom be indicated here:

And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. – Revelation 19:11 NASB

Imagine his story…living in the somewhere near 2000 years, witnessing the war between God and satan, the powers and principalities, play out over such a long period of time. Would his book be similar in tone to Ecclesiastes? Will the person have had children? Sorrow? Joy?

I’ve thought of writing a novel within the Baqash framework (once I finish all of the Baqash books), but where it doesn’t directly effect the characters within.

And which disciple would the person be? One of the twelve? One of the many who followed Him?

Darash First Readers

So far I’m hearing positive feedback from my first readers. I’m hoping to release Darash sometime in April. We’ll be doing a proof copy giveaway at that time.

Starting next week I begin writing “Apophis (Baqash Origins)”. It is a 12,000 to 15,000 word novelette which focuses on Mattithyahu and Joseph, and their brief run-in with Apophis, and the other 3 horsemen.

I’m enjoying my week off from writing and research. This week I cracked open “With the Old Breed” by E. B. Sledge.

After Darash is published I’ll start writing Sha’al which takes place during the events of the Fifth Trumpet, Revelations 9:1-11.

As for the photo: that is my daughter’s first drawing. She’s thirteen months and a week old and full of life and vigor. That is, until bedtime.

Laser

There’s nothing like the sound and smell of a laser printer cranking out your latest re-write.

That is only improved upon by one thing: holding the proof copy of said book. I look forward to that sometime soon.

There are so many people to thank, I shant have enough room. Phyllis H., Steve W., and Mark O., to name a few. Krystel Sattler will be doing the cover again, many thanks.

I hope by Sunday to get updated sales numbers up. But, for now, I must prepare supper and set this blog to post tomorrow morn. Be blessed

Darash Update 03/01/2017

I’m sorry I haven’t written an update in a while.

I have around seven chapters left of the Darash second re-write. Hopefully that will be done by Thursday night. The first reader copies should be going out as early as Friday.

In April we will be running a Darash proof copy giveaway. I’m also hoping to have the book released by the end of April.

Ideas for “Apophis (Baqash Origins)” have been roaming around in my head. I hope to get those onto paper soon.

A Note About Re-Writing

So far I’ve re-written the prologue through chapter 12. What is worrisome and fun and exasperating all at the same time, is when I come to a page that doesn’t have any marks on it. Did the editor miss something? Did I do something wrong and actually write a page correctly? How’d I do that? How can I do that again?

Monday Update

I’m praying I can re-write 15 to 20 chapters of “Darash” this week. Inadvertently, I had to take off 5 days in a row. One of those days was an awesome day spent with my baby girl.
