L. S. Popovich is the author of THE ARDEN, which was a finalist for the Next Generation Indie Book Award 2022.

They are a cat person (a person who like cats, not a cat human hybrid).

Every house needs at least one room overflowing with books, they believe. (Other rooms should contain scattered piles.)

Their short works have appeared in Chrome Baby, Havok, Aphelion, Bull & Cross, Red Fez, Bewildering Stories, The Ansible, 365Tomorrows, Commuter Lit, Farther Stars than These and other secluded places on the internet.

Aside from writing, they enjoy long walks on short beaches, black coffee on the rocks, and level grinding. The IBM Model M and a HHKB Pro 2 are their weapons of choice.

Hello D. Seifert.
My apologies for the late answer, but GR gave me no notification of your question. It would be difficult for me to find a book matching your description exactly, but I find that much literary fiction deals with adultery and married life. I've recently been reading Updikes Early Stories, which deal with upper class ennui, love, and marriage, and possess the nostalgic quality I so admire of a vanished time. The closest thing I can recommend to your request is probably Philip K. Dick's realist novels. He wrote 9 of them and they are excellent counterpoints to his weird S-F. They are mature tales of ruinous relationships, and poignant evocations of mid-Century America. (less)

Review of All God’s Angels, Beware! by Quentin S. Crisp

QSC’s output is typically speculative.  His stories do not fit into typical categories otherwise. This rare edition includes some gems. For the first 3 tales, I was not enthralled. I found them lumbering, dreamy, wistful. They take place in Britain. A lot of the extraneous description and interior monologue might’ve been cut out. He tends […]

Thanks Ted. I do occasionally sleep. And I send invitations whenever the notion strikes me. Not that everyone accepts. I think we can all learn something from one another.
