Ryszard Stone lives in Virginia. Off and on, he lived and worked for twenty years in Africa, Oceania and the Caribbean. At various times he worked as a Peace Corps volunteer, a U.S. diplomat, and a law enforcement official for a foreign government. Happily, his wife and children shared most of those years with him.

I do recall that you were out there on a tour. I did a couple stints in Kolonia with the FSM AG's office, coming up from Kosrae when they had a staff shortage.

If you had the time to leave a review on Goodreads and/or Amazon, that would be great. Spreading the word is always appreciated...I'm a one man advertising agency.

My last remaining tie to the FSM, aside from memories, and my old boss who I hear from now and then, is that I am still a member in good standing of the bar of the Supreme Court. Just in case I ever want to practice law out there again...

Ryszard Stone The First Taint of Civilization: A History of the Caroline and Marshall Islands in Pre-Colonial Days, 1521-1885

My detective novel takes place in Micronesia. The region has a fascinating history. One great place to start: The First Taint of Civilization.
