Susan Kicklighter is a Florida native who takes pride in her Southern roots. With a history degree from the University of North Florida and 20+ years of professional writing experience, Susan authored her debut novel, Shine: A Prohibition Love Story, to inspire readers to chase big dreams, keep the faith and let love be their guide. In Shine, she shares the intriguing microcosm of Colquitt, Georgia, her father’s hometown. Cattle disputes, mayhaw jelly and bootlegging are patchwork pieces of Susan’s heritage that she wove into Shine.
