e mail woes

My spam filter has decided to indulge its megalomaniac tendencies this week. Today I found mail from both my daughters, an old friend and a note I sent myself in my spam filter!
If you have recently written to me and received no response, please resend. I don't check the spam filter every day . . . well, at least I didn't for a while . . . and your mail may have aged out and vanished.
For now, I'll try to check it more...

Just a quick reminder that come Monday, Sara Creasy (Song of Scarabaeus) and I will be hanging out on Babel Clash.
What's BabelClash? It s a debate/ discussion group that features pairs of SF and/or fantasy authors to discuss topics near and dear to us. Or peculiar. Whichever you like . . .
Hope to see you there!

Recently seen thundering through my back yard:

Habiliments, if you ever doubted your decision to release them into the wilds of another little girl's heart, I hope this photo she took of them will bring you both reassurance and pleasure.
As you can see, they've joined up with a herd, and are having all sorts of amazing adventures . . . . again.

Bloodmemories.it is an Italian Robin Hobb fansite. I just visited for the first time.
What a lovely site! Before this, I did not know it existed. I love the concept of using a compass rose to navigate the pages.
Thanks so much for letting me know about this. This will be the perfect place for met to let readers know where and when I'll be visiting Italy.
Best wishes,

Spring!

We think. Despite more snow in the mountains, so that kids here are skiiing on their spring breaks, and several hail storms and wind that tore branches off the trees. It's still spring.
One of my great pleasures in visiting the Netherlands in years past has been the chance to visit the flower markets and bring home bulbs. I've learned I have to be careful to purchase the ones that have been inspected for export, but it's well ...

BSCReview site book contest

I received this very nice email this morning, so I will share it below.
The BSCreview.com site is a very large site with information on all sorts of media! Be wary! It's very easy to spend a lot more time than you meant to when you visit.
Feel free to visit and discuss. I think the discussion is the fun part, rather than which book 'wins'!
Guess I never had that competitive edge!

WARRIORS intervew up
Originally published at Robin Hobb. You can comment here or there.
The anthology Warriors edited by George RR Martin and Gardner Dozois will be published on the 16th of this month. The theme of the anthology is, of course, warriors of all ilk, historical and fantastic, male, female, young and old. I have a story in it called "The Triumph".
At the risk of tooting my own horn, I'll refer you to this very kind review at Suvudu and the interview questions that follow. I understand that more...

Just added this one to the schedule! On May 20th, I'll be at Eagle Harbor Books on Bainbridge Island. I'm really looking forward to the drive as well as to visiting the bookstore!
In other news, I just got the word that Dragon Haven, newly released in the UK, will premier at #11 on the Best Seller List!
Thanks, deepest thanks, to all the readers who made this happen. Best birthday present ever!!!!
