Adult Beverage: Rogue John John Dead Guy Ale
Adult Beverage: Rogue John John Ale: Dead Guy Ale Aged in Dead Guy Whiskey Barrels
Pours opaque honey with a generous cream-colored head. Whiskey and malt on the nose, caramel and vanilla on the tongue. Sweet malt and bourbon, with very little carbonation. The Dead Guy Ale signature flavor seem concealed by up-front whiskey taste. Lightweight mouthfeel. Warming. Boozy, but very pleasant. Crisp, dry finish; oaken with a tinge of bitterness. Could stand a bit more bite, but overall an exceptional beverage. I may have to seek this out on tap next time I'm in Oregon.

Adult Beverage: Lagunitas Wilcox Tango Foxtrot
Adult Beverage: Lagunitas Wilcox Tango Foxtrot, a Malty, Robust, Jobless Recovery Ale.
Pours profoundly dark copper, with a frothy few fingers of head that dirties the upper regions of your glass. Piney hops and caramel on the nose. Malt and brown sugar on the tongue. Biscuitty and brassy, nice balance of bitter and sweet. Lingering bitter raisin finish. Boozy-sweet, but very drinkable, though at 7.8%, you may find yourself asking W.T.F. tomorrow morning?

Looking for Leprechauns / Free E-book Giveaway

"I'm looking for leprechauns," she replied, resuming her search through the park. "It's Saint Patrick's Day."

Maddie peeked around trees, and under benches.
"Found one," she announced.
"Maddie, that's just a leaf."
"Oh," she said, disappointed.

Maddie sniffed around the sign. "There's one."
"Maddie, that's just your reflection in a puddle."
"Oh," she shrugged. "Nuts."
Maddie sniffed around a little longer, but eventually grew tired of hunting, so we turned around and wandered back home. In the few moments before heading down to work, we sat on the couch, and I asked, "Why'd you want to find a leprechaun, anyway?"
"I was hoping he'd share his pot of treats with me."
I scratched her head. "Maddie, leprechauns have pots of gold, not treats."
Maddie thought for a moment, then said, "Oh, then it's all right that I didn't find one. What would I do with a pot of gold, anyway?"

Happy Saint Patrick's Day from Night Shade Books!
We'd love to buy you a pint of Guinness this St. Patrick's Day. But instead, here's the perfect book to nurse your hangover: Stina Leicht's Of Blood and Honey, an urban fantasy novel set in 1970s Northern Ireland.

Liam never knew who his father was. The town of Derry had always assumed he was the bastard of a Protestant... His mother never spoke of him and Liam assumed he was dead. But when the war between The Fallen and The Fey flares up, Liam learns the true nature of his father, and is drawn into a centuries-old supernatural conflict that mirrors the contemporary strife...
