Goodreads, where have you been all my life?
I was up late the other night poking around on the internet, when I discovered goodreads. And I seriously could not believe that I didn't know about this site. I started hyperventilating and having a total panic attack, and so I called my husband (who was at his office, working, at one am - don't ask) and I was like, "I. Am. An. Author. How do I not know about this? What is wrong with me? What else do I not know about???" and he was like, um, it's one am and I'm still at the office, and now you know about it, so why don't you just join and let me get back to work so that I can come home and sleep for three hours before I have to come back here and do this again tomorrow? Which made sense. So here I am! I've got a new book coming out in Sept. called The Secret Society of the Pink Crystal Ball, a YA novel that I had such a blast writing, and I guess I'll blog about what's going on with that, and also other things. I have a weekly column on www.mommytracked.com called Tales From the Mommy Track, which is also a blog, I guess, but I always feel like I need to write full columns about motherhood that have a point to them, so this blog I think will be more fun and off-the-cuff, and it feels really liberating even right now as I write this to just ramble on about nothing. So yeah, please tell your friends to follow this rambling blog about nothingness, I'm sure they'll love you for it. :-)
