Thought I’d round out the year by sharing an excerpt from my next release, Break Me In – the third book in the Geek Kink series and give a peek into Alex and Elena’s first scene at Sanctuary. The tails of her flogger brushed against his calf as she moved behind him. Her body pressed against his, the swell of her breasts following the line of his spine as she dipped lower. She shimmied behind him, her breasts scraping against the heated flesh she’d lashed.

Need tore through him. Elena’s soft touch drew across his back and ignited the strips of red skin to burn the fire to rage anew. His gasp of shock married with his pleasure.

“You excite me, Alexander, with your wonder and enthusiasm. You aren’t sure if you can let someone else take control, let someone take care of you even though that’s what you desire. You want so much to hate what you’re doing right now, but your body is speaking a very different language. You’ll crave it soon, I promise you.” Her hand gently cupped one of his ass cheeks. “Your skin marks so beautifully here. Do you want to know how much you excite me?”

“Yes.”

Something shifted against his thigh and air rushed out of his lungs when he felt her bare breasts graze his skin. The tight points of her erect nipples pressed against the heated areas she’d marked. Everything inside him focused on those spots. She moved slowly, pushing the hard nubs against him even as he strained against his bindings.

“You taste so decadent here.” Her lips parted, her tongue dipping into the hollow of his back. “Potent. Wanton. Mine.” Her hand skimmed over his shoulder as she stood, her touch feather light and a sharp contrast to the licks the leather had delivered. She moved, dipping her hands under his arms as she pressed her bare chest against his sweaty back. Her short nails scraped down his torso, scratching lightly over hard ridges of muscles strung tight with tension.

Her breath fanned his ear for a moment before she fisted her hand around his hard shaft. His chest hitched and he hissed out a breath at the heady sensation. Flesh, so delicate and feminine despite the rough touch, held him and measured the weight of his fully-erect cock with her hand.

Her hand danced over his throbbing shaft, her fingers curling around to cradle him. Blood and adrenaline coursed through him, setting his entire body on fire. He strained against his bindings, totally at her mercy, as her hand slid down to the base.

As his skin quivered against her touch, his lower body tightened in anticipation as she started to trace circles against his hip. She ran her hand so slowly up the length, convincing him she would never reach the head. But when she finally did, she dragged her thumb over the tip, smearing the drop of pre-cum which had collected there.

Her hand began moving, up and down, on his shaft. The tension she’d just spent so much time building coalesced into a brilliant ball of heat at the base of his dick. He jerked a few times against her touch, desperate for relief. Panic began to override reason again when he realized her intent.

“Elena, no.”

“Don’t spill all over my nice, pretty floor, Alexander.”

Edits are completed on Break Me In, the next Geek Kink book – yey! Now I’m just waiting for a release date. With the holiday next week, I suspect it may be a little bit until I hear what it is. But as soon as I know – I’ll be sure to announce it. On Monday, December 30th, I plan on posting the first official excerpt, so keep an eye out.

For today, though, how about the list of music I found myself listening to as I worked on Break Me In? This list was short and sweet, but on the heavy side as you can tell by some of the artists. Some of the subject matter in Break Me In is not light, so the music certainly fit the tone of the book.

Crawl, by Breaking Benjamin, sums up the book beautifully from the opening lyric “A shadow of a man…” right through to the end “I brought you to life so I can hear you scream…” Break Me In is an emotional story right from the get go and I hope you fall in love with Alex and Elena as much as I did while writing the book. I also hope readers think I’ve done their very emotional and passion-filled story justice. To all those who desperately wanted to see Alex get his HEA – Break Me In is for you.

2013 has been relatively quiet for me, at least author-wise. The early part of the year saw the releases of Taking Over Me, Her Master’s Collar and Rock Your Soul. I should have had one more release in 2013, however, some communications snafus (interwebs, stop eating my editor’s email!) pushed that release back to early 2014. So, that just means 2014 will start off quite nicely with the releases of Break Me In, Edge of Need and Glad You Came.

For those interested, edits for those books are ramping up – I just turned in a round of edits for Break Me In. I always love this process because it’s taking an already fabulous story and adding even more shine to it. Edge of Need is up on the editing block next and I can not wait to dig back into this one since it’s been at least May since I last saw it. While I’m waiting, I’m digging back into the fast draft I wrote back in October for Glad You Came and starting to see what I have to work with.

I’m happy to report I successfully completed NaNoWriMo this year! I chose to work on a sooper sekrit project for the month of November and it came out fantastic. While I’m not ready to say too much because there are things still happening behind the scenes, it is a contemporary erotic BDSM romance. I loved the characters, the setting, the story and let’s not forget about the hot sexy action! And I’m hoping this will be the start of a new series for me with the Geek Kink series drawing to a close. Many of secondary characters in this new project I want to get my teeth into and find out their stories too.

Hopefully 2014 is going the be the year of some changes for me on the writing front. The first of which is the announcement that I’m closing the blog section of my website. Simply so I can have more time to focus on my writing as the time I spend writing/doing authorly things grows. I’ll be switching gears over to my author Facebook page and will be doing a lot of the same things I do right here on the blog normally. A roar of cheers and applause exploded from somewhere down the street and Bailey smiled. Someone must have shown something very, very good. Oh, it’s that blessed time of year—not! The east coast gets slammed with hurricanes, and the mid-west is plagued with ridiculous wind and snow. Humanity as we know it, with the exception of those who love the snow, retreat indoors to keep warm. Can we all say brrr…

But don’t you fret! There is always something to do, and lots of fun ways to stay warm.

I personally look forward to the winter for a variety of reasons, and today I thought I’d list my favorite things to do, in the winter at home:

WATCH all the Aliens movies over again. Lord only knows I’m going to wear out my DVD’s soon. In fact, that wouldn’t be so bad of an idea. I’d be that much closer to getting them in Blu-ray. 

PLAY Mass Effect again. Gotta have me some Commander Sheppard action. Just don’t tell my husband that.

READ for pleasure, research for upcoming projects, and review some scandalous and titillating novels.

And last but not least…

WALK through a local conservation hub trail. Now that the bears are happily snoring away, I can leisurely walk through here without worrying that some black bear is going to have my ass for dinner.

Yup, that pretty much summarizes how my winter is going to go.
