Six Sentence Sunday 11/13/11
In honor of Veteran's Day here in the United States, I've chosen six sentences from the fifth book in the Lothario series, UNDER THE COVERS, which will release early next year.
Drew Whitcomb is an former Navy SEAL, and he's met his match in FBI Agent Bree Stanton. In this snippet, Drew is trying to convince Bree she doesn't need the handcuffs she brought along. I'll let you guess who comes out the winner in this battle. <grin>
"I'll let you have your fun, and I won't touch you unless you ask me to. How's that?"His eyes said he was serious. He was a Navy SEAL. If there was any human on the planet with the kind of self-control needed for what she had in mind, it would be a SEAL. "You really think you can let me do my worst, and not touch me," she stated the obvious.

Weekend Dirty Dozen 11/11/11

This is a very special weekend in the United States, set aside to honor the men and women who have served our country in uniform. So, in keeping with Veteran's Day, I've chosen this snippet from the third book in the Lothario series, LOVE ME TWICE. Both heroes in this book are ex-military. Sean Callahan is a West Point graduate, and Drew Whitcomb is an Annapolis grad. They don't always see eye to eye!

Sean kicked against the pool wall and propelled his body toward the opposite end. He did it without conscious effort. Years of routine made swimming laps as effortless as breathing. This was his time to think every day. Some people meditated, some sat behind closed doors to find their own time, but the pool had been his choice since his teenage years. Drew thought it was the ultimate irony; the Army dirt-eater who loved the water. Sean didn't care what the slimy squid thought, he wasn't going to change his ways because some fucking Navy SEAL found humor in it. His arms moved mechanically, freeing his mind to examine whatever was foremost in his thoughts. Today, Celeste held all his attention, and the fact that he'd made a devil's bargain with Drew. In a few short hours, he'd turn Celeste over to his best fucking friend. He'd kill the son-of-a-bitch if he touched her. His blood heated, and he was surprised the pool water didn't boil.
Here's what others are saying about LOVE ME TWICE -

"Love, passion and scorching love scenes made this book an engaging read."
Blurb -
Sean Callahan came aboard to do his brother Ryan a favor, and ended up the man in charge when both Ryan and Richard left the ship with the women they love. The last thing he needs is a complication, and Celeste is definitely a complication.
Once upon a time Celeste had been part of his team as well as his lover, but after a disaster of a mission, and the realization that the other member of his team, Drew was in love with her too, she'd disappeared. Now she was back, and Sean was trapped on the Lothario, his brother's floating bordello, with the woman he still loves, as well as Drew.
Some women have all the luck. Celeste just isn't one of them. All the luck she seems to have is the bad kind. How else can you explain ending up on a ship with the two men she's tried to forget for the last five years? Even worse, not a thing has changed. She still loves them both. Leaving them behind only postponed the decision she knows she has to make. Celeste has one week to choose between Sean and Drew, or tell both of them goodbye, this time for good.

Six Sentence Sunday 11/06/11

Here, Candace is trying to convince her husband, Ryan, that what they feel for their friends, Richard and Fallon is no threat to their marriage.
"Don't you see? The promises we made to each other are still valid. Nothing in those promises prohibited us from loving beyond just you and me. I know you won't act on your feelings without my consent, and you know in your heart, I won't do anything you don't want me to do. That's how strong our love is. I'll do anything to keep you, even deny my love to expand to include Richard and Fallon."

Weekend Dirty Dozen 11/04/11

Today's Dirty little snippet is from my Nov. 1st release, FOUR OF HEARTS, the fourth book in the Lothario series.

"I love you. God, how I love you, Candace Callahan."Her eyes held his, and his heart swelled. She was his. No matter what. Nothing, and no one could come between them."I should run a bath for Fallon." "I'll help." He didn't want to let her out of his sight. They slid from the bed and he held fast to her hand as they filled the bath and set out two clean towels for the other couple. Candace tried to pull her hand from his, but he couldn't bear to lose the contact.

Marriage hasn't tamed Candace Callahan's sexual curiosity, something her husband Ryan is grateful for, but when she asks him to tie her up for her anniversary present, he knows he's going to need the help of their friends, Richard Wolfe and his wife, Fallon.
Dr. Fallon Enright is the resident sex therapist aboard the Lothario - the cruise ship co-owned by her husband and Ryan Callahan. When Ryan asks to participate in one of their couple's rope bondage classes, Richard isn't sure it's a good idea, but Fallon assures him all will be well.
What begins as innocent curiosity, blossoms into a polyamorous relationship none of them could have expected, but they are powerless to ignore. When the tabloids expose their new lifestyle, the foursome must choose between the love they feel for each other, or accepting society's moral constraints.
To My Readers -When I first began writing the Lothario series, I knew, ultimately, I would write this book. As much as I loved telling the stories of these two couples in THE LUST BOAT and SHOW ME THE ROPES, I knew there was much more ahead for them. I know some of the themes in FOUR OF HEARTS skirt the edges of what society deems moral, but I ask you to reserve judgment to the very end. Everyone knows it's possible to love more than one person in our lifetime, but society dictates we love in a linear fashion, one after the other. We see it all the time following the death of a spouse, or divorce, but what if you found the other love of your life while in a committed relationship? My two couples weren't looking for love outside their marriage, but as you know, love finds you, usually when you least expect it.Welcome aboard the Lothario once again, where anything is possible.
