Hey guys! I'm counting down the days until Spellcaster's release, and I've got some fun stuff planned for you! Today, I'm so excited to announce a joint giveaway with the fabulous Aimee Agresti, whose debut YA novel, Illuminate, hits March 6. (Get it—I've read it, and it's awesome!)

…after not being online?

It feels something like this:

 

As someone whose books get pirated on the Internet, I'd love it if there were a law that protected my work. I'd love it even more if that law didn't leave the door open for censorship. That's why I'm against PIPA and SOPA. Don't know what that is? This video explains it pretty well. I'll be taking part in the Internet protest on Jan. 18, so that means no Tweeting or Facebooking. See you all on Jan. 19.

 

If you follow me on Twitter, you probably know that I've been complaining about suffering from bronchitis/asthma, which has been pretty brutal the past couple of days. (I know, I know, call the whaambulance!) Anyway, I'm finally starting to feel better, and these two things made me giggle today. So, I had to share them with you. If you're feeling sick, just having a crappy day, or just want to smile ("Smiling's my favorite!" — Elf), here are two things that made today rule.

In other news, Spellcaster comes out in less than three months! I'll be posting sneak peek quotes and more as the release date gets closer.

 

 

Like I did with Spellbound, there's a playlist at the end of Spellcaster with songs that Brendan and Emma listen to during the course of the book.  I revealed one song from the playlist ("Fixed at Zero" by Versa Emerge) — and here's another song:
