Susan Boyle sings Cry Me a River
One of my favorite songs, and she sings it gorgeously. It gives me shivers. Recorded ten years ago for a charity album. Cry Me a River

Photo of healed leg available (still a little red and scabby)
If anyone wants to see it, I posted it in the private mode in flickr today.
If anyone has not yet received their "book for blogging book" let me know--they all went out at least a week or two ago. I'm looking forward to everyone's reviews--negative or positive or mixed ;-)

Troll's Eye View is officially published today!!!!
Yayy. I've been so busy that I almost forgot.
This is Terri and my middle grade (8-12 year olds) anthology of retold fairy tales empathizing with the villains. Although it's aimed at younger folk, some of the stories should most definitely appeal to adults:
TOC
Wizard’s Apprentice Delia Sherman
An Unwelcome Guest Garth Nix
Faery Tales Wendy Froud
Rags and Riches Nina Kiriki Hoffman
Up the Down Beanstalk Peter S. Beagle
The Shoes That Were Danced to Pieces Ellen Kushner
Puss in Boots,

Two new Poe reviews
SF Site and this one interestingly contrasts the different opinions on several of the stories.
Hellnotes ending with the kind of silly (IMHO) observation:
"It is interesting to note, though, that none of these recent writings can compare with a work of another master, and his take on Edgar Allan Poe: Granted, it’s a ridiculously hard act to follow, but Robert Bloch’s “The Man Who Collected Poe” surpasses anything in this compilation."

Amazon is screwing up royally

From amazon: In consideration of our entire customer base, we exclude "adult" material from appearing in some searches and best seller lists. Since these lists are generated using sales ranks, adult materials must also be excluded from that feature.
Here's a good example of what has been stripped and not:

The Chronic Rift podcast
Many years ago, The Chronic Rift was on video and I appeared on at least two episodes. Now they regularly podcast and I've been interviewed a few days ago by John Drew, mostly about Poe. Please excuse the ahem, awkwardness and especially the fact that I didn't know the url of my own lj account dammit!
