Forecast final cover

The Lockwood triplets are charged with helping to save the world—but at a high cost. Coral is always in the middle, always the family peacemaker. She’s the sister with the most to prove. When a freak snowstorm halts her Florida summer, signaling the Norse end of the world, she tracks down Taran Breen—a would-be warrior carrying Thor’s soul. A boy who’s fought his temper all his life and is now a suspect for murder.

One who looks at her as no other has before.

As roaring seas surge and terrifying underworld creatures emerge for battle, can Coral control her goddess magic and protect Taran? Because now she has a chance for more than her crazy life—as long as she and Taran win….

It is written that three Sisters of Fate have the power

to change the world’s destiny.

But only if they survive…

Edits, Deadlines & A Little Beri Info

I turned in copy edits on FORECAST this morning. I really like this book but have a feeling some will find it a bit different from my usual. Coral isn’t my usual heroine. She has an inner core of strength like the others, but her outer strength lies in knowledge more than fighting. I’m completely in love with some secondary characters in FORECAST. Wait until you meet Josh and Grim Tanner!

And I think Taran is one of my sexier heroes. Yeah, he’s just turning eighteen in the book-but I would have LOVED him at eighteen. ;)

I have one more difficult deadline set up right now so I can do nothing but work on FORESWORN for another few weeks. It’s hard. Everyone does everything in spring. Proms, birthdays, graduations… And me still without wheels after the car accident. But I hope that’s resolved soon. I plan to take a couple of weeks off then to breathe a bit and catch up on things that have been let go over the past year.

But…Beri and her friends are calling me. This next book of hers is big and bold and exciting and funny and kind of heartbreaking. The story is just there and ready to go. Man, I miss her and Blythe and Nikolos and Castor and yeah, yeah…I miss them all. So, I’ll be working on her next project fully. I have been getting a few emails lately from readers asking about the third book and that makes me sooo happy.

You have no idea how much!

My Beri books haven’t reached a very big audience and that was one reason I had no choice but to set them aside to finish up another project. But I love her and do plan to keep going with her.

So, if you enjoy Dweller on the Threshold and Blood of an Ancient, let people know. It’s the small, word of mouth shares that can really make a difference. :) Dweller on the Treshold72lg BloodOfAnAncient-R (1)

Fun Interview!

I had a blast answering these interview questions for Supernatural Snark. There’s also a rune hint for book two in my Sisters of Fate trilogy… ;)

Love This Review!

“Foretold is the first book in Rinda Elliott’s new Sisters of Fate young adult series.  I am quite the fan of Rinda’s Beri O’Dell urban fantasy series.  I find that series to be gripping and unique.  I also love the depth with which she writes her characters.  When I found out she was writing a YA series I thought I should check into it even though young adult isn’t one of my go-to genres anymore.  And once I read the blurb, I wanted to read it.  I knew that if Rinda put just half of what she puts into her UF series into this new one, Sisters of Fate and Foretold would be good.

And it was.”

Nothing like getting a boost about all your books in one review. ;) Really nice full review of FORETOLD here from Yummy Men and Kick Ass Chicks Reviews!

It’s out! No, THEY’RE Out!

My first young adult romance, FORETOLD, is officially out. Here’s a post with handy purchase links. It’s more romance than my Beri O’Dell series and written for teens, but I think adults may enjoy it, too. ;)

Here are a few quotes from a few reviews:

“Foretold is surely one of the best reads of this year.” Read the full 5 star review at Le’ Grande Codex. (Here)

“Bottom Line

Foretold by Rinda Elliott was a heart pounding paranormal adventure with fierce, passionate heroes and a thrilling, action packed story! Norse myths were wonderfully entwined with our modern day setting in a delightful and mesmerising way! I most definitely can’t wait for the next Sisters story!” Read the full 4 1/2 star review at Bewitched Bookworms. ( Here. )

“Foretold was a fantastic YA paranormal romance. I loved this book! The romance, myths, surprises, and thrills were all wonderful. From beginning to end, it was just lovely. YA romance readers, this is a book you don’t want to miss.” Full 4 1/2 star review by Farrah’s Reviews. (Here.)

But what did I mean by “They’re” out? Harlequin Teen is revealing the cover for book two, FORECAST, today! I’m sooo excited to share. It’s a stunning cover and really showcases Coral’s story. Click HERE to see!!!

Tomorrow is the Big Day!

My debut young adult paranormal romance is releasing tomorrow.

TOMORROW.

For me, this is a big, big deal.  I went through a LOT with this book while writing it and while it was making the rounds. It first went out on submission in 2009. Yeah, 2009. Wow, eh? And a lot of exciting things went on behind the scenes with it. But Norse mythology has only recently become more popular, so back then I wasn’t sure readers would get to see this trilogy.

You can imagine how thrilled I was to get the call from Harlequin Teen. Publishing with Harlequin has been a long-time dream of mine. I submitted my very first manuscript (a contemporary romance) to them when my college-going daughter was a baby. I probably still have that first two page rejection letter somewhere in my files. ;)

I’m super busy with a book also due tomorrow and another due in a month, so I’ll have enough to keep me occupied. But it’s hard. I want to be online celebrating!

There are a lot of long time blog readers who have waited to read Foretold, so I hope you all have some fun with Raven and Vanir.  For purchase links, check out the post below this one or click here.
