Loved this book so much. I was surprised when it ended. I would love to hear what happens next! It kind of left me hanging. Still loved the book and the characters in it. Great read!" |

I wanted to love this novel, but the writer’s treatment of the subject matter—the plight of women in Iran—struck me as artificial and shallow. The story’s time-jumps were also jarring. | |

Jana, thank you for your sweet note! It means so much, to hear how a reader enjoyed one of my books. If you enjoyed Sweet Lake, I promise you'll also enjoy The Comfort of Secrets. The book reveals more of the background surrounding the Sweet Lake Sirens--and throws in a few twists you may not see coming!
Congratulations on winning the Sweet Lake giveaway--and thank you for entering the new Comfort of Secrets contest!

I'm delighted you enjoyed the book, Carmen!

I haven't started it yet. I'm trying to finish WOOL, an interesting read if a bit too darkly dystopian for my taste.

Great to meet you, MJ!

Thank you for accepting, Ginger! A thousand apologies--I'm still learning my way around GoodReads and missed your comment on my profile page.

Sheesh, MJ, I'm honored you read Second Chance Grill. I'm so thrilled you enjoyed the novel.

Good luck to you too, Douglas. Happy writing!

How long have you been a writer?"
Christine, I wrote my first novel at the grand old age of 19. After college, I owned a PR firm and worked as a freelance writer. I began writing fiction full-time in 2004. Tally it all up, and I've been writing for--yikes--34 years!

Douglas

My 2 novels are FREE!! until March 10, this Sat at midnight. All E-readers.
