Omnifilm to develop Red Harlequin TV series!
So excited that Omnifilm Entertainment has acquired TV rights to the Red Harlequin!
UK-based Pantomimus Media has signed a TV development partnership for its young adult fantasy brand The Red Harlequin with Canada’s Omnifilm Entertainment.
Omnifilm (The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco) will create a high-end action-adventure fantasy series based on the brand, which began as a book series by Roberto Ricci.
Scriptwriter and showrunner Robert Butler (Creeped Out) and Rick Porras, coproducer of The Lord of the Rings, are attached to the project.
Brian Hamilton, principal and executive producer at Omnifilm, said: “Audiences are hungry for stories which connect epic fantasy and escapism with the issues of today. The Red Harlequin book series was made for television and has serious international potential.”
