I grew up in Kew Gardens, Queens, New York. After graduating from Lehman College with degrees in psychology and sociology, I began my helping people career as a caseworker for the New York City Department of Social Services, Protective Services, investigating the horrors of the abuse and neglect of children. With my master’s degrees in School Psychology, from the City University of New York, I worked for the New York City Department of Education, helping students deal with their learning disabilities and social issues. With my master’s in Social Work, from New York University, and post-graduate training in Psychoanalytic Therapy, I had a private practice on Long Island. treating adults, adolescents, children, and couples.

There are just so many hours in a day; I needed a thirty-six hour day, not twenty-four, to accomplish all my passions. Fiction writing took a back seat for too many years, but my desire to write only grew stronger. Eventually, I could expand my free time, allowing me to become a successful writer of short stories, in the horror genre, all of which were published on the web and print. Feeling confident about my writing skills, I wrote my first novel, The Demon Hunters, but no agents were interested in this story, so I put it aside, and wrote a mystery thriller, A Sinister Obsession, but again no agents were interested in the story. Not giving up, I offered it to an independent publisher, and it has received mostly 5 star reviews. As an eclectic writer, writing what excites my imagination, I wrote Stardust Dreams, a science fiction romance, and it has received rave reviews. Foolishly, I let too many years pass by pursuing a literary agent which I thought was my ultimate goal to reach a traditional publisher. I was wrong. Now it was time to change my thinking in a changing world.

I am happily an independent author!

I’m splitting myself in half.

I love writing fun and exciting stories for all mature ages and I have novels and stories in my head for those age groups.

As a retired person, I love writing stories about my generation. Stardust Dreams was the first. The second will be If I’m Dreaming, Don’t Wake Me!. An honest literary agent told me the publishing world is not interested in senior stories. There are few in the book stores. Yet, in film and theater, senior stories thrive. I am going to prove them all wrong. I will be the leading senior writer in the world!

Retirement has allowed me to write full time. My kids are grown. The grandkids are growing. Golf, tennis, bowling, and fishing are my other passions. Oil painting is on the side. My wife and I are having a grand time. The corona virus caused a change in our lifestyles and we now have Mickey, a Shih Tzu. He is a fantastic addition to our family. ...more
