Another 5 Star Review

Hi everyone,

I just received another 5 star review for my mystery thriller, A Sinister Obsession, published by Black Opal Books. This is an excerpt.

5.0 out of 5 stars Never look at a knitting needle the same November 22, 2013
By cbilbo
Format:Kindle Edition
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. I didn't really need to peak at the book jacket after I saw the cover art. I had a feeling that this would be a good book...call it instinct.

This book is just a down and dirty thriller. There is more than enough blood and guts to make any light hearted individual run away screaming. The psychological aspect of this book is a little tricky to follow at times. It's easy to get caught up in what is being said between characters and what is being thought.

This book was well thought out in regards to how a human can just lose touch with reality and flip out. Just the amount of psychological details in this story showed that the author had done his homework really well.

I would like to point out; this book does have strong language laced throughout. I personally wasn’t offended by the language, but some might. So before jumping into this book, if you are offended by cursing, you better think twice. Also, I can just say, I will never be able to look at a pair of knitting needles the same, EVER!

This was a great book that had me begging for more with each turn of the page. I can for see that this could potentially lead into a sequel. If so, I will be coming back for blood and guts and gore!

Book Reviewers

Getting a book reviewed is no easy task. I've spent an incredible number of hours requesting reviews and one has to live with no responses in return. Several nice reviewers let me know they had hundreds of bks waiting to be read. Alas!

Author Interview

Hi everyone,

Just did my first author interview on Fictionlovers.org. They contacted me at Twitter. A miracle!

Having people find THE MISTAKE on the Internet book shelves at Amazon and B&N is moving along, hopefully.

Booking Reviewers

I have looked at 400 on the Amazon Reviewers out of 10,000. Out of the 400, a little more than thirty review mystery, suspense, thrillers so far. Of the thirty or so, three stated they are too busy and the rest I wait on. Nothing comes easy in the book business. Everything is a chore. Sure I can get my friends and family to review my novel, but that's sort of like cheating. I want people who don't know me and still think I'm brilliant and talented!

Author's frustations

Haven't been to my blog in days, writing and seeking new resources to sell my novel, The Mistake, which has begun to show results. I will adding new resources to the site tomorrow to be of help to others. Now the frustration is trying to find reviewers. So many writers, a few reviewers that are trustworthy, and there are waiting lists. I think the best strategy is to get great reviews, then seek Blog Tour and radio shows.

Relentless Marketing

Hi to all fellow writers and readers,

Around and around I go on my merry-go-round, searching out how to sell books on the web, meeting more friends. I don't know about all you folks that have successfully done this, but I hope to learn from you. Every new site I go to brings a wealth of new information, especially from twitter concerning reviews, blogs, and forums. I am beginning to master Twitter, and Facebook, which are big helps. Put in for over twenty reviews, hope some come through soon. Learning about Blog Tours now. And had a few moments to complete a novel, editing it at least a hundred times!

Best,

Bruce

Back to Blogging

Hi to all,

I'm finally back to blogging having done a circular learning tour of Facebook, Twitter, and every other marketing source to sell my mystery/thriller, The Mistake. I never not talked so much in my entire life!  My learning experiences will be posted on my site tomorrow to help others save time.

Marketing is the slave driver

Hi, to all,

I haven't blogged in days as learning about marketing and publicity continues to take up all my time. Today, I tried to get all the knowledge I could about Twittering. What a job!!!!  Tomorrow Facebook!!! Finding, analyzing, and sending my novel, The Mistake, to new book reviewers takes hours and hours. I learned about changing a PDF file to a Kindle format, to send my e-book to a reviewer.  I'm going blind staring at a computer screen!  To be helpful to everyone I've now added the book reviewers that I believe are helpful in selling books. Let me hear from you about your marketing successes and frustrations.

Another day of relentless marketing

Hi, to all authors, writers, and readers,

I am exhausted. It has been more than three weeks of relentless learning of the social network to market my mystery thriller, The Mistake. It takes hours just to accomplish signing up with one or two new marketing venues. Fortunately, I have a high tolerance for frustration as I can't give up because no one will find my book. Small publishes as mine have no time or money to do that for you. I still need to learn about radio shows, interacting with other authors and writers, Facebook, Twittering, and finding more ways to get one's novel advertised to the public. I have put a list of some of my successes on the site and need to add the last few days of good sites, but I'm too tired and will do it tomorrow.

Good luck to one and all,

Bruce Castle, author

Another long day of book marketing

It has been another long day of book marketing my book, THE MISTAKE, published by Write Words, Inc. Can't look at the computer screen any longer. It is so much easier to just write books. The marketing can be rewarding as it was today, but frustrating as well with all the sites that are not helpful.  This is a daunting task, having no idea as yet if I have sold a book. If you go to my site, brucecastleauthor.wordpress.com I am continuing to list my successes with these resource sites for fiction novels to be helpful to you. It will save you a great deal of time.
