Elly Helcl is a stay at home mom who lives in Blaine, Minnesota with her husband, two young daughters and three cats. When she isn’t writing you can usually find her curled up reading a book or cross-stitching.

Elly first developed a passion or writing in the fourth grade when she was taught how to write haiku’s. Since then, she has branched out into writing poems and books.

She has done some weird but interesting things in her lifetime. In 2008, Elly won a 200 player “Pure Bred” Texas Hold 'Em tournament and took home the $120.00 first prize and in 2009, she competed in the National Monopoly Championships where she tied for last place with ten other competitors. Finding the writer in me

The Bi-Polar bottom has freed me from it's claw-like grip, and I am finally really starting to feel like a human being again.

I tried so hard to just jump back into finishing the final book in my series...but I just couldn't.
