DAY 129 - Twitter Poetry

Welcome my wonderful readers!

One of the quirks of being an author is that you sometimes find yourself discovering inspiration from the most unlikely of sources. Combine that with the digital age and I can't help but pick up a pen every now and then to create a 140-character poem.

Such was the case a couple of years back when I was watching one of the popular reality tv singing competitions. This cutie caught my eye, then my ear, with my pen soon following...

Cutie pie lullaby,
honeysuckle kisses a la mode.
Lovely locks, a voice that rocks,
a secret muse now told.

See you tomorrow:)

P.S. I need to put food on the table. Please support my work...

DAY 147 - Maya Angelou

Her beautiful work was a prime example of what is created when words of substance are spoken by a voice of passion. Through her we felt the struggle and anguish of yesterday, the hope of today, the redemption of tomorrow. Maya Angelou, forever a wise grandmother in the art of poetry.
