I swear it felt like I was walking to my own execution.By the time we made it out to the parking lot, my body was numb from over-stimulation. I almost lost my nerve, but I managed to slip Layla a note with my phone number before she got into her car. I knew before she even backed out of the parking space that Gavin noticed and it was time to pay the piper. The minute her car was out of sight, Gavin turned to me.
