Whatever After: Once Upon a Frog Cover Reveal

Hi all,

I am so excited to share the cover of Whatever After: Once Upon a Frog with you! In the eighth installment of my Whatever After series, Abby and Jonah fall into the story of The Frog Prince. Abby knows how the tale goes: the princess kisses the frog, and he transforms into a handsome prince. Right? WRONG. Turns out the princess is spoiled and mean, and wants nothing to do with the kindly little frog. It's up to Abby and Jonah to help their new friend, the frog, while also making sure the story doesn't spin out of control.

Once Upon a Frog will be available in January! More information here

XO, Sarah

Upside-Down Magic Cover Reveal

Hi all!

Dragon + Kitten = Dritten

Dragon + Kitten = Dritten

I am so excited to show you the cover for the fall 2015 middle-grade novel Upside-Down Magic. Co-written by Lauren Myracle (Life of Ty), Emily Jenkins (Toys Go Out), and me!

Want a CHANCE TO WIN a signed galley? On Twitter, use the hashtag #upsidedownmagic and post the jacket. We’ll pick 8 winners and Emily and I will sign the copies.

What’s the book about? For now we’ll just say:  school’s tough when you can’t stay human.  In a world of elite magic academies, weird and wonderful things happen when you’re sent off to public school — and put in the upside-down magic class.

Beauty Queen is Here!

Hi all,

Whatever After 7: Beauty Queen is now available in stores! Yay!

This time, the magic mirror sucks Abby and Jonah into the story of Beauty and the Beast. When Jonah angers the Beast by picking flowers from his garden, he becomes the Beast's prisoner! Abby has to save her brother by finding Beauty, whom the Beast will surely fall in love with, right? NOPE. The Beast doesn't like Beauty, so it's up to Abby and her brother to match-make this reluctant pair and fix this fractured fairy tale before things get pretty ugly!

I'll be on tour for the next few weeks, and have a TON of events coming up, so check out my tour page to see if I'm coming to a town near you. Say hi if you're nearby!

Hugs & wishes,

Sarah

COLD AS ICE is almost here!

Hi all,

COLD AS ICE will be out in less than two weeks! Wahoo!

Abby and Jonah visit the story of the The Snow Queen—yup, the same fairy tale that inspired the hit movie FROZEN! Get ready for Whatever After #6: COLD AS ICE, which comes out on Tuesday, November 25th.

Do you want a signed copy? If you pre-order COLD AS ICE from Blue Willow, Books of Wonder, Children’s Book World, or Little Shop of Stories, they will send you the book along with a personalized bookplate. The bookplate is a specially designed Whatever After sticker that will be placed inside the book after I write a message such as, Dear Chloe, May all your dreams come true! XO Sarah Mlynowski. Except I will use your child’s name and not mine. Unless your daughter is also named Chloe. If so, great name choice. Books must be pre-ordered before Monday, November 24th!

Also, I’ll be traveling a lot in the next eight months, so come say hi if you’re nearby. I would love to meet you. Check out my already scheduled events in the events section of my site. I’ll be adding more in the coming months. If you’re in or near NYC please come to the COLD AS ICE launch party at Books of Wonder on Saturday, December 6th at 3pm! There will be snacks and a face painter. Fairytale costumes welcome.

Finally, want to watch a quick video of me dressing up as all of my Whatever After books and making a fool of myself? I know you do.
