First of all, an apology for not updating this blog sooner. In truth I have been hard at work for the last two weeks on several projects.

I am mostly recovered from my surgery, though still not ‘released’ from the doctor’s care. That will hopefully happen in the next three weeks or so if I continue to do well.

I have received numerous e-mails and messages wishing me well and asking how I have been, and I can’t tell you, all of you, how much it meant to me to get them. It really did.

As for the projects I am working on currently, there is Parno’s Destiny of course, the second book of Parno McLeod. I have begun, and I stress begun to work on a possible sequel for Roland. There is absolutely no schedule for it at this time, since right now it’s a collection of ideas, notes, and a few pages of dialogue. But I am working to see if I can make it happen.

I also have the barest sketch of a possible sequel to Odd Billy Todd. I make no promises on that end, since I don’t know that I can manage it. The story was written to be a single event, and I’m not sure I can add to it, but I am studying the idea for one reason; so many have asked for one if possible. If I can do it, and that’s a big IF at this point, then I’ll try.

I’m also working on an entirely new PAW novel introducing a new character. There’s no projected release date for it, but it’s well under way. The same goes for Parno’s Destiny. While there’s no projection yet for when it will be released, it is well along it’s way.

I am also many chapters into my Zombie fic, “Friggin’ Zombies”, which is only a working title. It’s new territory for me, but coming along well, IMO. Now that I’m not literally ‘laid up’ and can work again, I hope to have it to you sooner rather than later.

My other projects at this time are basically drawing board stages, and may or may not develop into real story lines. I have however conquered a long writer’s block on my final Firefly Fan fiction story in my Shade ‘verse, Prodigal Son. Win, lose, or draw, it will be the final story in that series, and probably for fanfic in general, unless I have time to finish a Startrek;Enterprise trilogy, one story of which is already available.

There is no way for me to adequately express to all of you how much your support means to me. There’s really not. From the bottom of my heart I thank you all for your encouragement, especially while I have been recovering from my surgery.

You are the reason I write.

I’m usually a bit better about answering messages and posting here, especially of late or when there was something going on. I recently had surgery however, and am still recovering. While things went well, it’s not as quick a road back as I had hoped, and there is more than a bit of pain and discomfort involved.

I am on the mend, however, and improving gradually. I hope to be back to battery soon, and back to writing as well. If you have sent e-mail or other communications, please don’t think I’m just ignoring you. I’ll try to get to everything as I can, as soon as I can.

Meanwhile, I hope you all have a pleasant spring!

I’ve been made away of formatting issues with Roland persisting. I can’t explain why it’s happening, since they do not appear in the original, nor in the preview I have access to. Here’s what I have done tonight;

I have completely changed the formatting for Roland to a different scheme entirely. After that, I have uploaded the new format. It should be available in about 12 hours.

I hope this fixes the problem, and if it does I’ll use the new format in future uploads of all stories. I am so sorry for any inconvenience to you.

Thank you for your kindness, even when things are messed up. You are the best readers any writer could ask for.

I’m sort of in the middle of some things right now, so my blog isn’t getting as much attention as it should be. Still, I had to take this opportunity, the first I’ve had in several days and could be the last for several more, to say thank you to everyone who has reviewed my work.

I can’t tell you how much it means that you would take the time to write a review for one of my books. It’s inconvenient, and time consuming I know, and I really want to thank all of you who went ahead and did it anyway.

The following is nothing more than this writer’s personal opinion. I state no facts other than the one that has led me to comment on this (statement by Michael Moore about US Snipers). Your input is welcome if you want to share it. NC

News is buzzing this week with Michael Moore’s tweet about U.S. Snipers being cowards. Various celebrities have responded in support of American service personnel, and the news stories are hot with any reply to the idiot.

Here’s the thing; why bother replying to this idiot? Moore has been exposed as one of ‘them’, the rich people he has literally gotten rich off despising and demonizing in his documentaries. He has become irrelevant in our society. A nobody. Again. Just like he should be.

Saying something outrageous that’s designed and intended to inflame public opinion and garner attention is a last gasp effort by this loser to get his name back into the limelight.

Don’t let him get away with it. When he makes these statements, respond with Michael Who? and then keep on trucking. No one cares what he thinks, no one is hanging on, waiting to see what his opinion is on anything. He’s desperate for attention, probably planning to release another hit piece on America soon, and we’re giving him free publicity for that.

Who really cares what he has to say? This is a man who can’t even be properly respectful to the men an women who are guaranteeing his right to malign them. A man who apparently is so in love with the dollar, and himself, that he’s willing to do anything to get attention drawn to him.

So ignore him. Make him work for his money like everyone else does, and stop giving him all this free air time. Will that make him change and be more respectful of men and women who are literally worth twenty or more of him? Of course not. He doesn’t have any self respect, so he’ll never have any for others.

But we don’t have to help him.

Just my opinion, as I see it.

Parno is out on Amazon, and off to a good start. Thank you, all of you, for your support and encouragement. So what’s next for me?

Well, first, a few well deserved days off, lol. Little bit of work to do around the house too, since it’s winter and all. After that, I have three current projects that I’m focusing on, and one that I’m sort of working on.

I’m still working on my two zombie stories. I know that there are numerous stories out there, so the two of them may or may not enjoy any popularity. However, I’ve worked to make both rather unique, so maybe they will catch the eye.

The other project that I will be working on now is to finish the Bonespear Chronicles. That story started as just something fun to do, but has garnered so much attention and popularity it’s been a surprise to me. As a result I get messages on a regular basis (as in almost daily) to finish Bonespear. So. . .I’m going to work on doing just that.

After a nice long nap.

I hope you’re all having a good new year, and I hope your resolutions are not causing you any trouble keeping them! Mine are, lol.

I have not, as yet, found a cover I am happy with. Rather than wait until I do, I have decided to use a Kindle cover for now, and release the book, and once I select a cover that I like, I will add that later on.

My plans, as of this minute, are to release Parno’s Company January 9, 2015. The book should be online and ready for purchase by the morning of the 9th. I do so very much hope you will enjoy it, and that it’s worth the wait.

I appreciate all the interest shown in Parno more than I can ever put into words, and I hope that I don’t disappoint.
