Have you tried tracing your family tree as far back as possible?
Jose Rizal did so on a piece of paper preserved by his friend Trinidad H. Pardo de Tavera, now in the Special Collections, Ateneo de Manila Rizal Library.
Another family tree was drawn by Rizal on one of the pages of his manuscript fortune telling game “La Sybila Cumana.”
This is right up the alley of Mighty Magulang.

Join us as we close the Duma Literary Festival with a special evening featuring historian and storyteller Ambeth R. Ocampo. His talk, 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸, 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱, will be held tonight at 7:00 PM in The Courtyard of the Arts & Design Collective Dumaguete (ADCD), located at 58 EJ Blanco Drive. It’s a fitting finale to this year’s celebration of words, memory, and imagination—an invitation to reflect on the stories that shape our past and guide our future. See you there.

Visitors to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam make a beeline to Rembrandt’s “Nightwatch” like Filipinos flock to The Hague to see the ICC building and the “Hague Hilton.”
I avoided the crowds and found this 16thC wood image of the Christ Child from the Mechelen workshop. He is a cousin of the Santo Nino de Cebu who seems to have overdosed on glutathione:)

Blast from the past

Blast from the past.
I always associate Lady’s Choice with mayonnaise. Did you know that in the last century, Lady’s Choice had other offerings?
