yeah it's clear he has no intentions of finishing GOT. Wildcards shouldn't come before finishing the series that made him and which thousands of fans are heavily invested in.

Completely agree with you. I'm a huge ASOIAF and GOT fan - though to be fair I've only just got into the series in the last three years, so I haven't had to wait for years and years like some fans - but I would like to think I would put the author first. If WoW comes out I'll be thrilled. If it doesn't, yeah that'll really suck. However, it's clear there's some really heavy pain as you put it, and I wouldn't want a book to be forced through that pain.

Do you understand how creative work goes? I bet a big part of the block he's probably suffering comes from the HUGE pressure you all put on him. Can you just let the man live and write whatever he feels like writing? Or do you want him to publish a piece of crap that feels forced and uninspired? Did you forgot that books are created by people and not by fucking machines?
I mean, the guy is here talking about the death of several of his life-long friends and there you go, BUT WHAT ABOUT WoW?? YOU'RE NEVER GONNA FINISH IT? BUT I WANT IT, I WANT IT NOOOOW
