When we are young it is rarely thought, hooray, another day to do the same. Youth is full of discoveries, enlightenment, open doors and clear windows filled with possibility. The thoughts of youth are, hooray another day - what will I do with it?
Today, three decades under my belt, I realize it's time to ask that question again. What will I do with it? What have I done with it? Where will today lead me?
Every second that passes with no action is a second lost to stagnancy. A pond is a never moving thing, but it breeds life and thus moves in minute earth changing ways. Should a pond remain stagnant and life never breed, the water becomes toxic and murky with filth.
Now is the time to breed life, to move, to stop stagnancy and clear murk. Now is not only the time to ask myself, what will I do today? But to answer.
