Guest Post–Leading Men from JR Richardson
Today I have a treat for you all. My dear friend Jo Richardson has a new paranormal mystery romance out, Cursed Be The Wicked, and she’s here to discuss her TOP TEN MALE LEADS. Now you know I love Top Ten lists, and MEN, so isn’t this a win/win for all all? I’m already digging her hero, Cooper Shaw, in her book and wonder who I would cast to play him. Hmmmm…but that is a topic for another day. So without further delay, I bring you Jo’s list!
Jo’s Top Ten Male Leads
I couldn’t possibly put these in any kind of order, so this is random. Totally random.
1. Ewan McGregor – Moulin Rouge
“BECAUSE SHE DOESN’T LOVE YOU!”
I mean that face, COME ON.
2. Gerard Butler – Olympus has Fallen
“Why don’t you and I play a game of fuck off. You go first.” (a whole lot of people will know why I love this quote so much)
3. Flynn Rider – Tangled
“Here comes the smolder”
4. Jensen Ackles – Supernatural
“Sonofabitch!”
5. Karl Urban – Almost Human, Star Trek re-vamped
“You look . . . fine.”
6. James McAvoy – Wanted
“This is not me. This is just a motherfucking decoy.”
7. Zachary Quinto – Star Trek, Heroes
“Eat your brain? Claire… that’s disgusting.”
8. Josh Holloway – LOST
“Sup, Freckles.”
9. Robert Pattinson – Remember Me
“If you could hear me, I would say that our finger prints don’t fade from the lives we’ve touched.”
10. RDJ – Iron Man, Sherlock
“Mr. Stark displays textbook… narcissism.” *pauses* “Agreed.”
Now, here’s another leanding man you need to check out–Cooper Shaw in Jo’s new novel, Cursed Be The Wicked. Here’s the synopsis:
Cooper Shaw lives his life under a pen name and enjoys the anonymity it provides during his journeys across the globe as a seasoned writer for a travel magazine. When his job lands him in his hometown of Salem, Massachusetts to cover the famous Festival of the Dead, he soon realizes that he can’t stay invisible forever as he faces ghosts from a past he’s been trying to forget ever since he left.
The city holds nothing but bad memories for Coop until he meets a quirky young woman with an old soul and curious insights by the name of Finnley Pierce. While she acts as his tour guide through a town he thought he knew, Finn helps him unearth the truth of his childhood and might even begin to open up his heart.
By unraveling the mystery of his father’s murder, Coop may finally accept who he is, where he came from, and perhaps even realize what he wants for his future.
