DAY 127 - Veteran Tree

Welcome my wonderful readers!

Went for a walk the other day in this northern Philippine city my wife and I are currently living in. They call it The City of Pines, and there's this one "veteran tree" that stood out because of the carving on it, along with the info of it nearby. Here are the pics...

A complex subject, progress is. As societies of the world we have to develop, and the more time goes by the larger the population grows, meaning more space is needed. And yet nature is so important. What a dilemma!

The other day my wife and I watched the film The Day The Earth Stood Still(2008 version). Although it had its flaws, the overall message is really important. Unfortunately, it, along with Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth(because it really is one) and other environmental warnings are not really being taken seriously. I'm not one to be preachy or anything, but man, we sure can use a genius mind to truly figure things out. (Genius in the true sense of the word. Not the overused/misused word of today. True genius is to have original thinking that no one has thought of before). A solution that will both start to fix things and at the same time not really inconvenience anyone. Don't know if it's possible, but if it doesn't happen soon, our descendants are gonna have a hella inconvenient time when their time comes around!

See you tomorrow:)

P.S. The gift of support is the gift of wings. Please help this author fly...!
