"Hurry up," Joey hissed, glancing around. Electro glared at him, and then ran to the gate, keeping low. He reached up and unlocked it and then pushed it open.

"That'll be sure to have gotten us noticed," he said quietly as Joey ran over.

"Just give me a sec," Electro muttered. He tested his weight on the fence briefly and then climbed up. When he reached the top, he clung on to the fence with one hand and tossed his jacket over the barbed wire with the other. Then he swung himself over and dropped to the other side, barely managing to snatch his jacket on the way down.

"Ow," he said as he got to his feet.

"I guess," Electro said doubtfully. He grasped two hands onto the fence, eyes widening as he felt the electric current flow through him. This feels... really weird.

Joey tried his hardest not to snicker when he saw Electro's dark hair slowly stand up straight. "Well?" he asked, smothering a laugh.

((wait. How is he supposed to open the fence if he's on the wrong side?))

Electro sighed. "I thought it would be," he muttered. "Oh well, not a problem." ((Is the fence chain-link or just wire?))

"For you, anyway," Joey said with a scowl.

Electro, Joey, and Noel managed to hitch a ride with an old guy who told them about various aliens and monsters that were said to roam around this area in the dark. He didn't seem to think it strange that the three wanted to be dropped off in front of a large compound with a barbed-wire fence, but as he drove off he called, "Watch out for those monsters!"

Oh, and I say about 4 in the morning. Still dark, but a couple of hours till dawn.))

"A couple of coins won't pay for a taxi. And we don't even know the address of where we're going. It might not even have an address," Joey said thoughtfully.

Electro shrugged. "I guess we're hitchhiking then."

"What, the Knight Bus?" Joey said ((btw he's visible now that they're out of the school)), rather sarcastically.

"Is there a night bus?" Electro asked, frowning.

((What? Joey's making a joke? Since when has he had a sense of humor??

...I shouldn't be so mean. He's just been really freaked out lately...))

"Hm?" Electro looked at Noel, and then pulled out the map and handed it to her.

Electro printed out the map and then stuffed it into his jacket pocket. Then he opened the door, looked both ways, and then ventured out into the hallway. "Let's go. Joe, can you scout ahead?" Joey nodded silently.

((... what. How does that work?))

"We should go now," Joey said, looking pale but determined. "It's not like waiting is going to help them any..."

Electro nodded. "The coordinates Joey's phone is pinging isn't too far from here."


((Isn't anyone interested in how Electro managed to track Joey's phone? That kind of knowledge isn't usually given out to random civilians...))
