"That's really cool," Electro said, sounding slightly awed.

((They need to get out of school already!))

"Astral projection usually has to do with an out-of-body experience, like your spirit moving around outside your physical body," Joey said quietly. "But because of the... Batman incident, I'm thinking that that's not what you mean by that. Maybe just creating images with your mind?"

Electro entered, Joey following close behind. "Hellooo... who are you?"

"Sure," Electro said with a smile. "We're just going up to see Saffy..." He nudged Joey, who looked around and then rolled his eyes. "You knock; my arms are full of your books," he said pointedly as they stopped.

Electro was the one to roll his eyes this time as he knocked. "Sunny, it's me and Joey. And Noel. Can we come in?"

((I have decided that Electro's nickname for Saffy is Sunny.))

"Ok, I got the books I need," Electro said to Joey. "So let's go-"

"-Visit Saffy?" Joey interrupted.

"Yeah, sure," Electro allowed. "You have to help me carry my books, though."

"Sure thing," Joey said. He grabbed some of Electro's books and started fastwalking to Saffy's room.

"Let's go to the library," Electro said to Joey. Joey wrinkled his nose, but followed Electro out of the room.

((Well, he's not just invisible, he's unnoticeable... really, it acts on the observer instead of on him, which is why he can still see himself. So no one would see his shadow.

Joey has also been here forever, but he hasn't found the sewer tunnel...

Al right, who's power is the most showy?

I would think Saffy or Electro...))

((sounds cool!! but what would government peoples be doing at the arcade, and how would they know about them?

well... they could know about one person's power and have planned to kidnap them, but kidnapped the others when they were defending the first kid.

and i have the perfect idea for getting them into town... heh heh heh... none of them know about the secret sewer-tunnel-thing yet...))

((But... our charries need to keep their powers secret. In the books, the one time a grown-up knew about the kids' powers, he kidnapped one of them and was experimenting on him!! And he worked with the government!! D: ))

"Poke," Joey whispered back, pausing in his drawing of a compass. "Chris poke."

Electro looked sideways and raised his eyebrows. "Joey poke," he whispered.

((Ugh... we need an actual plot. I could create and rp an evil bully character easily who doesn't know about our friends' powers... including the fact that no one messes with Electro... but that isn't an actual plot. I reaaaaaaally want to have Electro and Joey sneak into some high-security compound, tho... you know, with electrocuted barbed wire and cameras and guards and stuff.))

"What is it?" Electro asked Joey. He could tell that something was on his mind.

"Oh. Well..." Joey glanced around at the class. Several kids were watching and listening avidly. "I'll tell you later."

Electro raised his eyebrows but turned back to his grammar packet.

"Oh. Um... good." Joey smiled, looking visibly relieved. I had no idea that would work...

"Oh, I don't think Miss Nomad would ever run me over," Joey objected. "She's far too nice." He hesitated. "Are you sure I didn't disappear?"

"Thank you, Saffy," Miss Nomad said with a smile, and swept away from their desks toward the front of the room. "I know that you aren't comfortable with semicolons, but they really are most useful..." She continued speaking to the class.

"That was close, huh?" Electro muttered, smiling slightly.

"Did I - Did I disappear?" Joey looked visibly shaken; a thin sheen of sweat was visible on his face.

"So, Joey," Miss Nomad said with a smile. The two boys (Electro and Joey) looked up. Electro removed his hand from Mariola's, red staining his cheeks. His hair crackled a little as the electricity in his head ran high with his emotions. Fortunately, Miss Nomad didn't notice. "You seem to have a lot to say about this topic. Why don't you share with us?" she asked Joey.

"Ah..." Joey stammered. He could feel everyone looking at him. "Uh..."

"Don't show that around in public!" Electro said frantically, putting his hand over Mariola's and causing the miniature Saffy to disappear. "Someone might see it... anyway, Miss Nomad's coming this way!"

((Hm... I see potential relationship between Electro and Mariola...))

"I-I thought I saw-" Joey stammered. "Nevermind."

Joey jumped and dropped his pencil, leaving a skittery mark over his intricately drawn dove. "What the heck--"
