What Members Thought

I absolutely loved this book. I was slightly disappointed with the ending—after a beautifully written epic about Piranesi’s experience in the house, the ending felt a bit like an afterthought. But still absolutely worth reading. Warning: the beginning is quite confusing, but I think that is on purpose. Keep going, it opens up and makes sense in the end.

This is one of the most original stories I have ever read. I was intrigued from the first few pages and had trouble putting it down - I finished it in one evening (which is something I rarely do these days). I loved it - can't wait to see what Susanna Clarke writes next!
