GSB recommendations to John Doerr

John Doerr from KPCB visited Stanford GSB on March 7th, 2013 in the View From The Top speaker series (http://www.gsb.stanford.edu/cldr/even...).

John asked for the audience to e-mail him 3 book recommendations, and this is what he got back - a list kindly consolidated by Angela Valles of KPCB. Unsorted (before any user voting here on Goodreads) and probably incomplete, as it is a snapshot from emails ~5 days in.

At the time of posting only the following books had more than 1 mention: Lectures on Physics, Art of War, Why Nations Fail, Power of Habit, The Alchemist, Holy Bible, Atlas Shrugged.

And in response, John's recommended reading list from the day:
Defining Decade, Meg Jay
Lean In, Sheryl Sandberg
The Future, Al Gore
High Output Management, Andy Grove
Monk and the Riddle, Randy Komisar
Startup, Jerry Kaplan
