Lang Leav Gosh, I think about this so much that it makes my head spin. I write about this subject matter often and it seems to resonate with many others so I suppose even if we don't have definitive proof, there is a feeling of something else, or somewhere else that goes way beyond wishful thinking or false hope.

When you write, do you have a predetermined destination for where the characters will end up, or do you let the characters and their natural development guide you to where they end up? Reading Sad Girls, it just felt like there was such a natural progression for each character's path that fit them so well so I was curious how you determined their paths. Thanks!
