Camille Pagán Hi Courtney, thanks for reading Forever is the Worst Long Time. I grew up in Michigan and attended the University of Michigan as an undergraduate, then lived in New York for the better part of a decade (and Chicago for a few years) before moving back to Ann Arbor. Every location in Forever—and all of my books, really—is a place I've spent a good amount of time in. I find it more meaningful to write about places that are important to me (for example, Puerto Rico, where I spend part of each year with my family, and of course, Ann Arbor).
