Goodreads asked Jess B. Moore:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Jess B. Moore Write. Sit down, don't worry if it comes out gibberish, and write. It's the idea that water won't flow if you don't turn on the faucet (I forget who said that). Also, don't try to write what you think people want to read. I have to pretend no one will ever read my work, otherwise I'd get wrapped up in worrying about what people think. My writing is personal, and for me to get to a place of putting that into words, I can't think past myself and my document.
